I want to look over some texts before taking organic chemistry, so I'll be better prepared. Do you guys know any good books or texts that might help?

AS per string-theory a proton contains 3 quarks right, so is there any estimate of how much of proton is empty and how much is occupied by quarks? some one told 1 part in 10^3 is occupied by quarks......how correct is this?

After reading the paper an idea hit me; if all the ice caps are melting meaning more sunlight isn't being reflected back by the ice caps why don't we just replace rooftop tiles with white tiles to create the same effect, if enough people do this, in theory, it should work.

I want to know what you think about this.

I wonder whether if we could modify some bacteria's DNA, to produce oil similar to crude oil? These type of bacteria could just 'eat' some organic compound (which contains CH) and produce out many different CH related compound, like methylene, proplyene, etc, like the crude oil we use currently.

I believe things move not only relative to each other but also absolutely in space. And things that are in gravitationally denser regions cover less distance relative to objects further a field, but take longer time. For example, light that emanates at the core of the Sun due to fusion reaction reaches the surface in about 2,500 years – travelling at a speed of one millimetre per second, at its slowest. How can this be possible if space if not squeezed by gravity of the Sun? And how space can be squeezed it has not texture or body to it?

When I start organic chemistry I have a choice between organic chemistry for life sciences and medicine or organic chemistry for individuals majoring in chemistry or biochemistry? Which one am I suppose to take? If you don't know that's all right. I'm going to double check with the counselor shortly, but for the time being I would like to know if biotech is more bio related or chemistry related. Thanks!
