When I start organic chemistry I have a choice between organic chemistry for life sciences and medicine or organic chemistry for individuals majoring in chemistry or biochemistry? Which one am I suppose to take? If you don't know that's all right. I'm going to double check with the counselor shortly, but for the time being I would like to know if biotech is more bio related or chemistry related. Thanks!

I'd suggest the one for chem/biochem majors. The basic science approach will serve you better in the long run.

Biotechnology is more towards biology.. Even the chemistry that you learn in biotechnology is biochemistry, biophysical chemistry and so on.. you will not need to know much about inorganic chemistry for example... The most important subjects for you as a basic for your major are microbiology, molecular biology, and biochemistry...

I beleive that it's more to biology..

I am doing biotechnology engineering (UG)

Both, I'm a biotechnology major. You can choose to go more in one direction, but elements from both studies are required.
