there are many reagents:
1)LiAlH4(lithium aluminium hydride)
2)B2H6 in THF(borohydride in tetrahydrofuran as solvent)
3)H2/catalyst(hydrogen in presence of catalyst like platinum,nickel).

ok esters are RCOOR. if you reduce them you get an ether. if you have a carboxylic acid you can reduce it to an alcohol with LAH, H2/Pt, NaBH4

i believe you mean "ether" not ester.
