Is it poosible to find an example of a cubic equation with real integer coefficients and with three real number roots in which imaginary numbers do not come up in the intermediate steps of using the cubic formula?
Can you give an example of such a cubic equation? If this is impossible, can you explain why imaginary numbers always occur within the cubic formula?

There are 75 students in a PE class. Every student in the
class plays exactly one 1-0n-1 basketball game with every other student
in the class. How many total games will be played?

My guess is 75 times 75= 5,625 Is this right? If not where did I go wrong?

Thanks,

Alex

Many time people say evolution is the answer to creation. I on the other hand am cross referencing this website:

http://www.learnthebible.org/creation_science_main.htm

With several scientific websites, and comparison with Thermodynamics I have concluded tha Evolution does not exist.

Based on what you have after investigate thoroughly, let me know what your thoughts are on this Evolution Hypothesis.

what is the limit of (2x^2+3)^(1/2) - (2x^2-5)^(1/2) as x-->infinity

that is: the limit of the squareroot of (2x^2+3) minus the squareroot of (2x^2-5), as x approaches infinity.

Can you show me the steps algebraicly? I had it on a test yesterday and could only solve it by graphing it.

Also how do you algabraicly solve limits as x--> infinity when it is not a rational function?

hey guys , this question may have a tint of metaphysics but think about it !

How sure are we of reality itself? If the physical universe is real then are things like the spirit or Soul real?

It is great that ASCP will be available in here (Philippines)but somebody told me that you need to have a 5 yrs. experience as a medical technologist in U.S. before you can qualify for the ASCP exams. That is why I was encouraged to take the AMT or CLS first and work abroad before taking the next step. How true is this?

Monarch migrate from a specific location in the Sierra Madres in Mexico to the north is like a relay race! The original butterfly dies along the way, but the offspring it leaves behind continues on to the north where the cycle will start again in the fall.
As fall approaches in the north, 2000 miles from their starting point, non-reproductive monarchs are born. These are the butterflies that will migrate south. They will not reproduce again until the following spring.
It is like your Grandmother started a journey. She dies but your mother who has never been to grandmas house continues the journey. She dies and you without every seeing or knowing returns to grandmas house.

when the icebergs begins to melt, the mass at the equator will be more.. angular momentum= (moment of inertia * angular velocity).. moment of inertia= mass*radius^2.. So, when mass at the equator increases, the moment of inertia will decrease bcause the radius decreases exponentially... hence when the angular momentum is constant, the angular velocity increases due to the decrease of moment of inertia.. will that cause any changes in our earth's orbit?

Given that the USA spends more on military than the rest of world wouldn't some of that money be better spent in space exploration than on more bombs and such.

The money spent on space reseach is generally peaceful and can lead to advancements in so many things not the least of which would be an age old question are we alone in the universe, Is there life on other planets in our solar system? Is all life built the same way i.e. it all has DNA of some sort and DNA is basically the same for all life etcetera.

I hate the idea of tax dollars going to make war especially wars like that in Iran or Afganistan.

Someone once said that if war is the answer we are asking the wrong questions.

Are we alone in the universe?
Is all life made of DNA?
Is travel faster than light possible or is there a work around?

These are just a few questions in which I think WAR is not the answer & space exploration might find the answer.

Where would be another good place to post this question?
