Filberto Caponi claims to have taken 6 Polaroid photos of the small being on May 9,1993, in d'Arquata de Pretare. The photos were published in a magazine on October 28, 1993 and shown on TV on November 5, 1993. The incident was investigated by Centro Ufologico Nazionale, Italy's UFO center which made a report but had no conclusion. Massimo Fratini of CETI in Rome remarked that Caponi seemed sincere.

The incident seems to have verisimilitude. If the incident is credible and represents alien life, I would assume that the being encountered was the equivalent of our chimpanzees sent into space because lacking fingers, the being would not be capable of making or piloting a complex interstellar vehicle. On the other hand, the being could be a deformed earth monkey or even a hoax. The second picture of the tent has nothing to do with the monkey-like creature as Caponi reported it in his encounter when he was riding his motorcycle. Why is the tent picture included?

The rest of the page gives facts about the solar system. The person who wrote the blog, P.Rajarajan, is 17 and lives in India. I am sure that this is interesting to him and may seem like proof of alien existence. It is interesting, but I tend to believe that what Caponi found was an abnormal primate such as might be found in a circus side show rather than a bona fide encounter with an alien life form from another solar system. Particularly since thrteen years have elapsed and the scientific community has not made significant reports of the incident, I tend to believe that it was truly not indicative of a close encounter of the third kind.

The truth is out there.......

No, as much as I'd like to believe, those are not real creatures in the photos. The legs look malformed and would not support any kind of walking. It looks like a poor mockery of human nuclear mutation.

I believe the pictures are showing objects that look like aliens but that does not mean that they are actually aliens! They do look like papier maché, actually.
