I have heard that during or before a muscle cramp, someone can take a calcium supplement, and the cramp ends, or does not begin. Can someone explain the physiology behind this?

I am 99% sure this is what I have found in my kitchen. Small black, does not fly or jump. About 1/16" and can show up anywhere. I have sprayed and cleaned my cupboards now 4X, put boraxo under shelf paper, and then even bombed my whole house, all within 3 days. I have caulked all shelves in my kitchen top and bottom, washed every can and dish., emptied everything and thrown away anything that was open. I even opened all boxed goods and rinsed all plastic packages inside. 1 Brownie mix when I ran it under water was wet, a very small hole was in it. How do I get rid of these?

I was taught in Chemistry that a liquid can only be considered wet if water is involved. Therefore you can have a dry liquid eg, mercury. So what makes water have this tendency to be wet but not other liquids.

I am having trouble with this equation, could somebody help me?

Directions:

Solve the system of equations by using the inverse of the coefficient matrix.

3x + 5y = -2
3x + 8y = 4

Ok, this is what I have done to get an answer but it is wrong

3 5 1 0 ==> -1R1 + R2 ==> R2
3 8 0 1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 5 1 0 ==> -3R1 + 5R2 ==> R1
0 3 -1 1

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-9 0 -8 5 ==> -1/9R1 ==> R1
0 3 -1 1

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 0 8/9 5/9
0 3 -1 1 ==> 1/3R2 ==> R2

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

= 1 0 8/9 5/9
0 1 -1/3 1/3
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

= 8/9 5/9 * -2 = 4/9
-1/3 1/3 4 2

Now I know this is not correct since I plugged my answers in and it did not work. somebody please help?

Thinking of your answer that something else but for untrained people made me think of this option that the airoplanes has but in a larger scale.
I am wonder if anyone will think about to try to put in experiment something like that ...that will bring lots of extreme sport funs together.Ha-ha.

not parachutes, these would be more dangerous to untrained people, but something does need to be developed.

If I want to test the hypothesis 'All crows are black' I can go out and look for crows and check what colour they are. The more crows I see that are black, the more likely the hypothesis is to be true. Each black crow observed is a 'confirming instance' of the hypothesis.

Now, a LOGICALLY EQUIVALENT statement to 'All crows are black' is 'Anything that is not black is not a crow'. So, I can check the equivalent statement instead. That is, everything I observe that is not black AND is not a crow is, logically, a confirming instance of the original hypothesis that 'All crows are black'.

So, I have a green teapot. By observing that, am I helping to confirm the hypothesis that 'All crows are black'? Logic says I am . . .

I saw a History Channel on Edward Cayce yesterday and was wondering if it's really possible for the earth's axis to shift, and what would be some of the causes or reasons for the shift? Just wondering, thought it was interesting. Thanks!

I want to know if when mercury is heated if it cuases it to move or shift. Also, what is the density of mercury when compared to other heavy metals? If it spins fast enough, will it provide enough inertia to negate gravity's effect on mass but still retain it's "weight" and be capable of propelling an object from point x to point y if the mercury is shifted or nudged?
