I feel sorry for the bug, but is that messing with nature to try to set it free?

all animate things on earth (animal kingdom & plant kingdom) have their own ways of existence and maintain an ecological balance.... and we are not to disturb it

it is not as if one should not destroy mosquitoes or disease-carriers but then such exercise is also part of the ongoing survival game... if some life has to survive, it will find its means...

occasionally we do help a rat from a cat or a cat from a dog....on a grand scale, small deviations won't matter much...

if you want to save a fly, for your own good, do it !... but it would make no difference... there would be another fly for the spider always... not in near future would spiders become vegetarians....

Nope, thats the balance of nature. Spider helps maintaining the population of insects. Without the them, the population of bugs would be unchecked. That's what happend few years ago in the city where I used to live in, spider derby becomes a very popular gambling sport so many people started to catch spiders in big numbers. People didn't realized the consequences so after few months the city was plagued by bugs. Good thing, the city government outlaw the spider derby to pervent this kind of thing to happen again.

I would let the spider eat the bug, because bugs suck. Not to mention a spider bite from trying to save a bug would suck too. Afterwards I would smash the spider into oblivion, because spiders also suck. I hate spiders. Heebee jeebees.

No...it's nature's balance.
Imagine you are hungry and have a steak in front of you.
Then, a bug comes in and takes your steak from you.
Same difference. Unless you are going to take the bug from the spider and eat it.

Why?

The spider deserves to eat as much as the bug deserves to live

yep, the spider would just have to move on to other hunting grounds out of my sight. I also take birds and mice away from my cats if they are still alive. Sorry kitties!!

hmm...no i would not. I would not sit and watch per say, but it is indeed nature, spider has to eat to live too. if someone tried to take my dinner away from me and i had not eaten in a while, i'd be rather angry!
