I am often so confused because I know when I look at something in the sky like a star I could be looking at it the way it actually was many many years ago. Because it took so long for the light to travel. So its like looking back in time? But what I don't understand is when Astronomers say they found something new like a new star or planet or whatnot, its not very new is it? And when you look through a telescope and see something closer, are you looking forward in time, or is it just the same way without a telescope, just magnified?

Sometimes I feel silly, but I can never help but stop and point my head up to look at a very starry night sky. I never ever ever get tired of it. I don't know why. It is just so amazing. I also love learning constellations so I know what I'm looking at. I just saw Saggitarius and Scorpio tonight :] Do you like looking at the stars or do think its silly? I know many people don't seem to pay much attention to it.. it seems like.

It's unbelievable how many people have prophesised the end of the world, and how many idiots have believed them, given away all their possessions only to find it didn't happen.

And people still get fooled. It is amazing that people are so gullible.

It is not surprising that young guys can strap bombs to themselves and kill and maim innocent people in the belief that they will be assured a place in heaven with 70 virgins on offer.

It is not surprising that a whole swags of people could be fooled into thinking it OK to send millions of innocent men, women and children into gas chambers (recalling that this was a high civilisation country, just in case you think it only Arab muslims that can be brainwashed in this way).

And still it goes on

Yes, some day something will come along that will wipe us out. But nobody knows when, even though the world is full of idiots who believe otherwise because a bigger idiot told them so.

It's staggering.

Hi there, now I am working on packaging my electronic component, it is through hole. Normally through hole type model we pack using vacuum tray only. But now I need to pack in in tape and reel version, just like Surface Mount component. So I have to refer to EIA standard. Does anyone here know where should I get from internet the details of this standard. Pls provide website where I can refer to.

The memories could be of anything you can imagine, good or bad or powerful. Implant them into your brain to replace the memories you now have. The new memories would recreate your brain to function as someone else thereby changing your life entirely, for the better. Do you think its possible?

Please don't laugh at me... but tell me what you think. Well was thinking. The moon revolves around the Earth. The Earth revolves around the sun. The sun revolves (very very slowly) around the milky way.... so I was wondering... maybe.. if maybe the Milky way and all the other so many many galaxies revolve around something bigger too, but its just so slow we haven't been able to tell? and so far away, we can't see it? Like my Astronomy professor said that where there is empty space (I think its called quintesscence) the material is different than where there is things close. But quintesscence is the space that actually holds everything together, so maybe its like another type of gravity? Pulling us all around something bigger? I'm just wondering...? Because there's still so much we haven't discovered in outer space.

Its possible with what we've been hearing of water, ice and structures being discovered on Mars. The alien race that was there may have built underground, nuclear reactors that releases oxygen into the atmosphere thereby making life on the surface possible. The aliens were wiped out before they had a chance to turn the generators on. What's your opinion?
