Scientist have now declared that Pluto is not a planet. What's next? Any adult that isn't more then 4'10" is not human. We need to make a stand now or all will be lost. Just because you're not what is consider normal, does that mean that we should be banished. It's the raindeer games and Ruldoph all over again. Now is the time to stand for the different guy!

I am thinking of setting up an experiment to look for interacting partners with a viral integral membrane protein. Will this work, or n\do I need to use just the N and C terminal tails without the TMD?

Before the 20th century there were no galaxies! Of course there were galaxies, but nobody had recognised that many misty nebulae were awesome wheels of billions of stars. Only in the early 20th century did Hubble establish that these objects were at massive distances beyond our galaxy.

So, are we to keep calling these galaxies, nebulae, just for nostalgic reasons? Nebulae are simply clouds of gas or dust in space, and the word nebula means cloud, which is what galaxies look like until you throw more magnification at them.

So, why isn't everybody up in arms about the status change for galaxies.

Animals and plants are reclassified all the time, as scientists realise that they have been grouping them wrongly.

So, since astronomers first discovered that planets weren't just wandering stars, they have had the right to say what is a planet and what isn't.

In the light of new information, Pluto cannot be classified as a planet.

I'm sick of scientists deciding everything. We're told Pluto is a planet for years and now it isn't. It's like being told coffee is good then bad then good and now bad again.

1) I'm getting tired of all the Pluto questions that are readily answered on any online news source.

2) Why do we insist on calling it "demotion?" Is a planet somehow better than a nonplanet? It is just getting the name consistent with the 100s of other bodies much like it in the solar system. If I were Pluto, I'd like to be named consistent with my peers.
