I think about 3-4 weeks. I know a guy that had a lot of stuff shipped like that and said it was usually 4 weeks "on the water."

container ships operate in the 17-24 knot range; New York to Liverpool is 3500 miles , so 6-8 days from port to port......now add a day to Rotterdam or Antwerp or Bremen...just before the first Arab oil embargo in the 80's, Sea Land built a fleet of super fast container ships that could do it in just under 4 days......as fast as the Queen Mary or United Sates..but it cost too much for fuel......
