I'm a senior and I have 4 AP classes right now. The only one that worries me is AP Chem. I took regular chemistry in 9th grade so I hardly remember anything and I think I'm probably the most behind in my class of 13 kids (thats all). I just want to go to a good in-state college (CO..not much competition at all) and I don't wanna suffer my senior year. I want to major in Bio and I think I'll be a dentist...maybe a general doctor. But do you think I should take Chem even though its only my teacher's 2nd year of teaching and he sucks hardcore and he's very cold? My sis says yes because she thinks I'm gonna have to take it in College anyways...but if I don't pass this AP exam isn't the class rendered useless?

I'm just a middle school student who needs your help.

If it is impossible to reach infinity and -infinity from zero, then it is also impossible to "get back" to zero from infinity and -infinity, assuming there are something located at both "points of infinity".

What I'm trying to say here is that if someone wants to travel from one point to another on a real number line, then both points must be rational and "reachable", so that he/she is able to stand on that point. Thus, the "points of inifinity" do not exist.

Am I right? Am I making sense?

I am working on a project in which I need to show progress towards completion. The project is broken in to five (5) milestones. Each milestone may have anywhere from two (2) to seven (7) sub-projects. Each sub-project may have anywhere from two (2) to ten (10) tasks. We have determined that each milestone, sub-project, and task is evenly weighted; that is the number of events for each specific task, sub-project, or milestone should not be a factor when progress is reported.

I am concerned that I present progress that reflects the actual status of my project. For example, I have three events. The MEAN is 58%, whereas the MEDIAN is 50%. Which is the right number to provide as my status?

I am almost out of characters, so I will present the problem I am working on in a seperate question.

Thank you to all the math wizzes out there for helping. I am envious of your aptitude for math!

That Pluto is no longer considered a planet, and as of today we're officially back to 8 planets of the solar system and not 9? Seems there are a bazillion Plutos all floating around in the same zone too, but they don't qualify for "planet" status.

It's not fair what they're saying about pluto, it's been a planet for hundreds of years and it orbits around the sun therefore it's a REAL planet.

Hi, I've recently been to Mammoth and I visited Horseshoe lake and I found out its located on top of an underground valcano. A few miles outside of Mammoth the scienctist have discovered a new gyster and the hot springs on heating up. Mammoth is located on a fault line, so it has alot of sesmic activity. Could this mean the valcano is becoming active again and could this point and lead to a valcanic eruption??

What makes us, as humans, so remarkable as compared to..say.. roaches? I mean, they can survive extreme radiation , take 45 minutes to drown and able to reproduce at an alarming rate. All we have is a fairly complex brain, which isn't the biggest in the world but the most 'developed'. Other than possesing the ability to form mildly complex thought pattarns and slightly more sophisticated communication, whats so special about the human race?
