Join the rebellion! PLUTO STILL LIVES! I can imagine the Plutonians are going to be really ticked off about this decision and invade Earth! :-)
On a more serious note; Pluto has been a planet ever since I can remember (I'm 48) and just because some pencil pushing geeks decide to make it a non-planet, I'm not for one second going to let go of it.

I'm very saddened by this decision. I know that science is an ever changing field, but this is too radical a choice to be made by a select few. What did Pluto ever do to anyone? Poor little planet. I don't care what they say, it's still a planet to me.

couldn't they at least wait until the 93 year old widow of the guy who discovered Pluto die?
talk about a low-blow. she lived many years of her life telling the story of Pluto to people and celebrating the discovery with her late husband.
what could be SO urgent that Pluto's status as a planet would have to be downgraded? it's these types of thoughtless decisions of the world's scientists that is very frustrating. oh well.
bless.

This seems so strange to me! All my life Pluto was the 9th planet and I can't in my mind even separate the word "pluto" from "planet."

The dwarfs have decided to steal pluto from us so that they would
have one of their own, which they now call a "dwarf planet" meaning
it is theirs..
I refuse to accept this and intend on keeping Pluto as my 9th planet
where it belongs..

Yes, but he might come back....with more planets to fight his cause.
Consider the link below that reports those experts who are ashamed of the IAU's new decision.

I think it's a little weird...I remember learning the planets in grade school, now it's bizarre to think that my kids won't learn it the way I did..
