the titanic sank because it hit an iceberg and caused a gash in the "air pillows" aka space that kept it afloat. the shuttle blew up due to a leak in the shuttle and combustion

Arrogance. They thought, "God Himself could not sink it." The captain and the designer were arrogant fools who imagined the ship was unsinkable.

Negligence blew up the Space Shuttle because of a defective O-ring.

One reason why the Titanic wasn't unsinkable was that some smartass designed the unsinkable double-walled hull to hold coal for the engine room. Have you ever tried to close the door of a coal bunker after coal has started to spill out of it? It's just about impossible. So when the iceberg ripped open several watertight sections, the water just gushed out of the open coal hatch into the engine room.

The real problem with the Titanic is that the steel in her hull had too much sulfer in it.

In the frigid waters of the north, this caused a severe rigidity in the metal, so when the iceberg struck, the metal shattered.

becasue too much water had entered, the watertight compartments were compromised. And since water was able to flood over the tops of the compartments, that spelled her doom

The captain of the ship was in the restroom smokin doobies. He then had the need to set the ship on a faster course cause he was stoned and like the feeling of the air running through his hair. He then went back into the bathroom for a half an hour smokin dope through this special awesome pipe his brother gave him and thats when she struck in iceberg. "Iceberg, straight ahead".

it hit a big iceberg but that is not the main reason, the engineers were so overconfident the ship was big enough to withstand anything and they became careless.
The shuttle was due to defective o ring
