I know that there is this big serious discussion as to whether or not Pluto should still be classified as a planet and some wonderful planetologists in Europe have decided that it does not fit their definition of a "planet". This comes from guys who still snicker and cannot keep a straight face when they talk about Uranus.......
Go figure !!!!!!!!!!!!

A bunch of folks with no social life and way to much time on their hands (that get to deceide these things) had a party, alcohol was served, you know the rest. The head guy took a bet that he could not kill off a planet ( I know a little far-fetched, but hey it was for $20) He said watch me. Rewrote the rules for what defines a planet (BINGO)and pocketed the $ 20 (Autrailian).
If you are talking about the dog - Mickey took him home

Pluto weighed less than an asteroid and was downgraded by a group of astronomers to planetoid status instead of a full planet.

Pluto is said to no longer be a planet. They sid that the axis to far, or to close to Neptune. So this is no longer a major planet.
