How Smart is Your Right Foot?
I bet that you cannot do this.

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot
off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the
air with your right hand. Your foot will change
direction.

I told you so ......... .. And there's nothing you
can do about it!

WHAT DO YOU THINK IS GOING ON?

Wow, only now, after four attempts, do I really understand how hard this question is to answer.

Most of your answers have been very informative and I thank you all for enlightening me with the information that you have.

However I feel the question here is the failing and I will attemp to express it differently.

Here goes ..... If I am 6 feet tall and I stand infront of a six foot high wall, then moving backwards to lets' say 1 mile away.

Firstly, my height remains at six foot, the wall remains at six foot.

Why then does the wall appear to be a fraction of it's true size?

Why does it not remain as large as it previously appeared in my field of view?

This is not a question about the angles or otherwise of our visual capabilities as humans, this is a fundemental question about why objects seem smaller the further their distance?!

I am finding it hard to believe that no-one understands my question.

Strip away everything you have ever learned and then answer

His College, Dr. Whoople disagrees, pointing to a chart which shows that some type M stars have already left the main sequence of a nearby Globular cluster and others are in the process of becoming red giants. I'm buying new batteries for an electric wheelchair and I have 2 choices 35 AH and 50 AH. Nobody at the dealership can tell me for sure what the difference will make. I charge the batteries everynight so if longer lasting is the difference then I'll go for the 35 Ah which is half the price of the 50 Ah
