Here's a good picture of a sunspot. See the whirling?

Here another good picture of a sunspot. See how the surface of the Sun is drawn towards the sunspot? Interesting.

Here is what the filaments inside the sunspot wall look like. It's all flowing gas, and many of them twist and have dark lines down the back. We can conclude that they are giant tornadoes, running parallel to the surface, and the dark line down the middle is caused by the vortex in the center.

They dump themselves into the core of the sunspot.

Sometimes they bridge the gap.

Tornadoes running parallel to the surface of the Sun dump themselves into sunspots, which cause perpendicular hurricanes.

I do believe Chinieres are found only in Louisiana but I am not sure of that. They could also be located in Texas and Mississippi. I may have spelled the word incorrectly. However I have seen several variations of it's spelling.

I have a coordless phone that came with NiCad batteries but it is having problems with those batteries. The only rechargable batteries I have on hand are NiMH. Is it ok to use NiMH batteries in a phone that was probably specifically designed to run off and charge from NiCad batteries.

Strange note: the phone seems to think the NiCad batteries are alkaline and refuses to charge them, but seems to have no issues with charging to NiMH batteries.

Firstly, do any kids actually research the answers to their homework these days, or do they just copy the question verbatim onto yahoo answers and hope that someone will answer it for them?

Secondly, why does every foolish fundamentalist Christian teenager feel it necessary to put misinformed "questions" onto the biology section ineptly criticising evolution? What is the best that they are hoping for? That we will say, "You know what? I was going to believe in millions of pages of carefully documented evidence and experimentation, but thanks to your misspelled and fundamentally incorrect rhetoric I think I will just believe that God magiced everything into existence!" Why waste your time?

Weird, I am sure I was 23 a minute ago, I seem to have been replaced by a grumpy 67 year old man. Must be tired...

I will say that water will be a given. Its value is 1.

Why is it so damn hard for the evolutionist side to say:
"I DO NOT KNOW'?

NO ONE, repeat NO ONE can give an honest answer with SO many unknowns!

I don't have to be a theist to see that this is silly.
After a certain point, the answer is 0 or impossible.

How fast would you have to drive into the sunset at the equator to ensure the sun would never set? Use the assumption that your mode of transport can go on land, water and so forth.

I heard this when I was younger but I want to know if there is any truth to this. Ok, two people are twins. one goes to space and stays there for a couple of years. when he returns he finds his twin brother to look older than he (the one who went to space) does. is there any truth to this? can this really happen? God bless you all.

You know, it's like when you lie on your leg and then when you try to get up, it's hard to walk and feels like your leg is electrified or sleeping and it takes like a minute to get back to normal.

I'm not sure if it's called neuropraxia so I just want to make sure.

Recently, two terrestrial type planets have been found around type M stars using the method of gravitational lensing. In such system, large terrestrial planets take the place of Jovian planets. If this trend holds up as more such systems are studied, what does this imply for the the number of possible terrestrial planets in the Galaxy?
