Pie slice. Circular sector is the boring name for it. Of course that depends on the curved side.

If theta is in degrees then
Area of circular sector = π(r^2)(Θ/360)

If theta is in radians then
Area of circular sector = (r^2)(Θ/2)

an irregular.first youll have to use pythagorean formula to get the volume of the triangle as if the curved side wasnt curved. Then you have to subtract that from the volume of the curve as if it were a full circle.Get it? What you actually have is a partial triangle and a partial circle.Or an irregular solid.

Well, it isn't a triangle. That much is for sure.

Without more information there isn't an actual name for the shape. If the two sides which are line segments are radii of a circle, and the other curve is the arc of that circle then the shape is a sector. ( it isn't always a sector )

it is called a 'segment'

if the two remaining straight sides were equal 'b' and the angle between them is a known quantity 'a' then we can take it as a proportion of a circle for its area and then multiply it by the thickness tog et a volume

so for the area of a segment we get

(a/360) x b^2 x pi

then mult by the depth
