The current scientific theory is related to M-theory (which is a spinoff of string theory). M-theory (or membrane theory) is a part of theoretical physics and says that there are membranes containing parallel universes and that when 2 of those membranes collided it set off a physical chain reaction in our own universe, and that the "big bang" was more of a big scrape.

Laymen's terms, I know I got *something* in there miscommunicated, so physicists - don't bug me about it, ok? LOL

Well, the fact is that the God of the Bible created this world. There are a lot of scientific theories about how the actual creation process took place, but none of them explain how matter came into existence from non-existence. They have to postulate that the universe has just always existed and can't explain how that can be when logically everything must have a cause for it's being here.

someone who had intent and purpose
someone with great power withf both the great galaxies and tiny sparrows in mind
someone inifite in size to make 2 trillion stars per person on earth
someone with incompresenhable wisdom wisdon and care for detail
someone with great creativity and eye for beauty
someone infinitely above the creation
someone who cared enough about the creation to enter into it and be born in a lowly place and laid in an animal feeding trough

the big bang however, I think will probably be abandoned in the 21st century... too many problems and not helpful in explaining enough
