my mom told me to get an IUD when hubby and i first got married. i've now had it for two years in Oct. and want a baby very badly (at times). i want to wait until i finish school, but i can't control the urge that is making me want to concieve. the mom criticizes me about it, and even mocked me the other day ("oh why dont you just take it out and get pregnant then!?!?"). she doesn't understand. a lot of people my age (25), with kids don't understand, because they already have babies. i don't think they understand what it feels like to ignore that urge. and then mom has the nerve to mock me! she said it's annoying how i always talk about wanting to concieve. HELLO! i'm in my most fertile time right now! hormones do a lot!

i don't know what to do. i don't know how to explain it to her to make her give me a break. and i try to avoid the topic, but my little sister is pregnant with her second baby and it comes up a LOT. this is so frustrating.

i can't get this off my mind an i keep thinking i'm pregnant.
my period is late
i've had pregnancy symptoms for like 3 weeks [boobs swelling, veins, cramps]
and i just dont know what to do.


i'm 15, and i'm a virgin.
BUT
when i noticed that my areolas & nipples were getting darker i started reading stuff online. and that stuff talked about pregnancy.
so i looked back and i thought "well, how could i be pregnant???"
and then i thought.
OMG.
what if when i masturbated i could've had like something on my hand?? [like sperm]
i've heard it can happen.
but the thing is, i dont know where sperm could've come from.
i do live with my dad, and my brother, so could some of theirs been somewhere in the house, and i touched it or something?

so how much of a chance is there that somehow, sperm from my dad or my brother somehow ended up on my hand, and then when i masturbated, gotten me pregnant

but I have to ask anyway...what are the chances of a false positive on 6 tests, 3 different brands...all positive?!

Ok im 20yrs old. I have a sister who is married and pregnant. She is 4 months. (im excited for her) She is taking some prenatal vitamins and her hair is so long and beautiful and healthy etc. I told her that I wanted to take some of those pills and she said ok. She gave me 2wks worth and I took one this morning with breakfast. She warned me that those pills make her vomit and nausea. So my question is... if Im not prego, should it also make me nauseous or does it just make pregnant girls nauseous?

I am 5 months pregnant and I heard from numerous women that you shouldn't cut your hair when you are pregnant because you will regret it. I have really long hair and I am getting really tired of it. It is really hot where I live and I just want something that doesn't take so much time in the morning to do. I am not wanting to go butch short but maybe 3 or 4 inches. It has taken so long to get my hair to this point and I am always complimented on how pretty it is...I am scared that I will not like it after the damage is done...so I guess my question would be...have you cut your hair while pregnant and did you regret it or were you pleased with your decision??

I am 24 weeks pregnant and have been feeling my baby move now for 3 weeks or 4 weeks cannot really say as it is my 1st baby and to begin with i did not know it was my baby moving but ever since i have been feeling movement they dont seem to be getting any stronger only very slightly, and still seem to be flutters and twitches..... could something be wrong, i am slightly overweight could this be anything to do with it?

Hi,
We have just come back from the doctors. my husband came into the appointment with me, and my doctor asked if we would like various tests which test for Down Syndrome. I said yes and am very greatful that this is available to us. I said however that I don't want to have an Amniocentisis as this can cause miscarriage. When we left I asked my husband what he thought about the tests and what he would want to do if it came back as high risk. He said that if that happened he would want us to have an abortion. I am furious. I know people have different views on this but I would never have an abortion for that reason. ijust want the tests so I can educate myself and prepare if needed.
I'm now seeing my husband in a different light and so confused.
Has anyone else been in this situation?

My boy was born 9 months ago and it triggered severe fibromyalgia. I am taking strong painkillers at the moment to help me cope. This is the easy way out. I am on Venlor XR that helps great with depression, anxiety and tiredness. The rhumatologist wants to put me on another antidepressant and 50 mg Elavil. I really get depressed when I change my meds and want to stay on painkillers for now. Would I ever be able to raise another child or should I stay with just one. It is winter here in SA and I decided to wait till summer and see if the symptoms gets better. Any moms with fibro and how do you cope?

Ok, I'm HUGE. I really don't care if after having a baby I'm overweight, so this isn't a vainity question. My doctor says it is fine for my to continue being Vegan through my pregnancy, and gave me extra supliments. I've gained a ton, it's all in my belly, but SERIOUSLY... I've gained SIX INCHES in my waist, according to my measurements for the last skirt i sewed about a month before I got pregnant. My belly feels very tight, i guess kind of like it is "hard", and is very rounded. I don't know how much weight I've gained becuase i rarely weigh myself... but I can't fit into a sinlge thing i owned before the pregnancy, not even sweatpants... they are way too tight, and then slide right off my round round pregnant belly! Is this normal? I'm going shopping for maternity clothes this weekend with a friend, and I'm wondering if I'm goign to be in the third trimester clothes already!
I jsut want to know if everybody gets so big so fast! Or maybe I'm just having a huge baby? lol...

Im due in2weeks Ive been through a rough marriage left my husband he has anger and drinking problems. I was going to all my Dr appointments of course on the side of town where I was living mith my husband,now Im back at my parents. There is a hospital right across the street from where my parents live, I am still driving to my ob/gyns office which is about 45minutes away. I dont plant to have my parents drive for 45minutes when labor hits. Can I just go to the hospital right across the street when I go into labor? Is this going to be a problem or an issue since I wont have a Dr there? I havent told my Dr anything about me not planning to having my baby over at the hospital where I was going to deliver before all these problems came along,she may think that I already had this planned, and I just used her and now going elsewhere Im confused since I wont have a Dr to attend me, im concerned since shes the one that has seen me through my whole pregnancy, shes too far from my parents hom

My girlfriend and i were fooling around about 2 weeks ago, playing with each other until i ejaculated, she caught most of the semen in her hands then rushed downstairs. i put up a message late last night about just expressing how desperate i am for this to end...i thought is would pass but i feel worse than ever.
i was due yesterday and went for a sweep but felt no different. i had one last week and the next day lost a bloody mucus plug (although the m/w this was probably because of the sweep)...i feel no different and feel like it's never going to end. i'm now 50% effaced and 1-2cm dilated but don't know what this means anymore.
my m/w is so laid back and just said to wait and see, she reckons because the head is so low i have an 80% chance of not being induced but i hate this uncertainty and it's making me so worried as i don't want any medical intrusion and want everything to be over.

I'm now in week 10, and I'm down to 126lbs. I've always been skinny (i model), but this is 6-11lbs underwsight for me, and 2lbs less than last week! Why why why? I'm not throwing up, I may be eating a BIT less, as things smell odd... but still. i don't know what to do... I'm tryign to eat healthy like always, and i'm doing low-impact workouts (yoga) but idk what to do. I'm worried aobut my baby, and my next dr. appt. isn't for 3 weeks.
