In my previous question I actually meant 39 weeks and not 39 months. It was a typo. The question is " is it possible for a woman to be 39 weeks pregnant as it is more than 9 months.I dont think any one could even cross 35 weeks."

i have been having 31 day cycles for the past few months.. my last period started on May 13th and ended May 17th... my partner and i had sex on June 1st and 2nd, and we tried the pull-out method (i know- not dependable) but it wasnt exactly successful... he came inside of me a little bit... so im just wondering..is pregnancy even possible? ..i think i would have ovulated a couple days earlier than the days we had sex, but im not sure? ....help?

oh and p.s.-- please dont lecture me on birth control and how stupid it is to use the pull-out method... if i were to get pregnant, we would be happy to have a baby together. we arent aiming for conception, but we just arent avoiding it either..

please just help me answer my question?

thanks...

I'm 38 weeks and 2 days today. I've got a doctor's appointment tomorrow. My due date is June 16th, about 12 days away. I'm so incredibly uncomfortable! My ribs feel like they are all broken in half! I'm going to ask my doctor to set an inducement date tomorrow, I'm just wondering if anyone has been induced early and if they will induce you before your due date. (I have a friend that gave birth in February and she was induced at 38 weeks, no prenatal complications at all, her pregnancy was not high risk at all).

I work in the stock room at a department store (some lifting, lots of bending, reaching, unpacking boxes) and it's getting to be a real stress on me because the job is so strenuous. The leg cramps, back pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, and my stomach hurts like hell when I'm standing those long hours. I already have been in one accident at work and fell into a rack back first (I went to the doctor and he found a small lump from the accident so he cut my hours for the next two weeks.) I also have had two asthma attacks on the job. The job that I'm working is a temp job. I sew/design things in my spare time to make more cash flow and it's going really well.

Now the question is, when should I leave my job and focus more on this pregnancy? I was thinking maybe at 32 - 35 weeks? Could anyone give me some advice on when I should stop working? My fiance said that I can quit if it's too much on me since he has a job, but I don't want to be dependent on him and make him work even more. :(

I really wanted to give vaginal birth but was unable to because my son was too large. I have been told that after you have a C it is recommended to have another C, but I really want to experience giving vaginal birth. Has anyone had a c-sec for their first child then gave vaginal birth for their second? Is there big risk in that? I know the convenience of being able to schedule the exact day to deliver, but I hated not being able to hold my son right after I had him and I really want to breast feed this time and would like to do so right after it is born. The nurses went against my request when my son was born and gave him formula while I was in recovery after my c-section and I was very upset because he would not take to my breast after that. Is this a valid question or am I just being neurotic?

Cramping since 10 last night or so. Sometimes, just constant Braxton Hicks. Aren't they supposed to lighten up and stop... not just go on and on for 14 hours? Don't think it's labour cause I am not doubled over in pain and after 12 hours, they still aren't painful enough to make me stop what I'm doing for more than 5 seconds.

70 percent effaced and 3 centimeters dilated. I drank castor oil for my first and it worked just fine. I drank some last night and it gave me very strong contractions (didnt even get any diarrhea or anything and I was fully hydrated) - The contractions were five minutes apart at 1am when I got there. I was there all morning and they were literally not even a minute apart and they got STRONGER...they checked me to see if anything changed with my cervix and it didnt. So they had me walk for an hour - that didnt change anything either. The contractions continued to be very strong...when I got home at 7AM I rested until 1PM (now) and the contractions arent very much and they dont hurt as bad as they did. Whats going on? At the hospital they said that I am probably in early labor and will more than likely see me back tonight, and now they are altogether pretty much gone...???

My doctor said that it was ok to try to induce, but sex hurts. Walking is making me dialate, but does dialating break my water? What are some other ways to induce? Tea is not working and neither is spicy food. What are some bad things and good things that come with castor oil? I've read some people it works like a charm.

I am 37 weeks and 4 days and the doctor just examined my cirvex and I am not dialted at all :( I've had some pretty strong contractions here and there but obviously nothing too serious. Also the baby has dropped and she said the head was very low. Is there anything that I can do to help this move along faster? Thanks in advance!

Since I've last had sex (about 5-6 wks ago) my body has been acting really strange. My breasts have become sore and firmer i've been having constant stomach aches, vomiting, more frequent urinary and bowel movements and been really tired. I don't know if i'm really pregnant or it's just my mind playing tricks on me. I'm kinda hoping I am though! :D

So what do you guys think?

you people on this answers thing make tooo big of a deal about implantation bleeding i dont know why because hardly any women even get it!!!! i have had 3 pregnancies and NEVER spotted and nobody i know has had it either! the only way you will know if you are pregnant is if you MISS a period and take a test!!!!!! do NOT rely on implatation spotting i am sooo sick of hearing about that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know this question is going to get some really pissy answers, but why would anyone ask a question about bleeding during pregnancy or some strange symptoms in their children, etc? This is primarily aimed at the pregnancy and parenting forms. I am an RN and I get blown away by all the misinformation out there. Sometimes I wonder if the questions are jokes. Someone asked if their water had "broke" the other day. Instead of calling her OB, she was asking total strangers that aren't physicians for advice. It just kind of makes me wonder what people are thinking. I can understand looking for answers from people who have been there. But, not on legitimate medical questions that are better addressed by your doctor. None of us can tell if you are in labor by reading your question. Go to the hospital and get your cervix checked there. Does anyone else want to grab these people and shake them ? Some of the answers are horribly inaccurate and unsafe. Let me have it.

I almost have to make myself eat because I am not hungry for anything. I also have been really feeling really sick to my stomach and having to go to the bathroom (number 2) all the time. My heart burn is so bad especially at night and I feel like I eat more tums and water than anything. Is anyone else feeling me here?

A friend of mine is totally convinced that plan B is the same as an abortion. Which I dont understand at all!! Plan B KEEPS you from getting pregnant in the first place. How can NOT getting pregnant be an abortion. If that were the case, wouldnt using any form of birth control be an "Abortion" ? Let me know what you think!

My doctor made me wear a tampon while i gave a urine sample. He is a very prominent doctor in this area. I wish I had asked why but I didn't. Why would i have to wear a tampon to give a urine sample?

My daughter is only 2 months old and she is exclusively breastfed. The other day I felt a little off, like I could be pregnant so I got a test. The test I took showed a very faint line, like you almost had to strain your eyes to see it. I'm gonna get a test that is more sensitive tonight. I know that it is very unlikely, right?

I took 2 different at home pregnancy tests late last week-both positivie! I went to the dr.s office on friday for a blood test. The Dr. called today and said congratulations I was pregnant, but asked me to come in for another blood test to make sure the hormone was going up. Is this common? Kinda worried I have to retest. Thanks

I am trying to correctly calculate my due date. I've been told by my OB that my due date is January 7th, which makes me 9 weeks pregnant today. I know that I conceived on April 7th. Considering this, I feel like I might be a bit further along than my OB said. I also had an ultrasound 2 1/2 weeks ago; the tech said I looked about 6 1/2 weeks. My mother told me she always carried "small". Anyone know how I might calculate my due date a bit more accurately?
