Cramping since 10 last night or so. Sometimes, just constant Braxton Hicks. Aren't they supposed to lighten up and stop... not just go on and on for 14 hours? Don't think it's labour cause I am not doubled over in pain and after 12 hours, they still aren't painful enough to make me stop what I'm doing for more than 5 seconds.

Yes, sometimes they are constant, especially the closer you get to labor and delivery.

With my third pregnancy I had Braxton-Hicks contractions almost all day long and then they would subside when I went to bed. They would start up the next day.

This went on for 3 days and finally I woke up with my waters leaking, so I was in "true labor."

Just look at it this way - Braxton-Hicks contractions are nothing to worry about, and the more you have the more your uturus is dilating and toning for labor.

Try taking a warm bath. Braxton Hicks contractions should slow or stop, real ones won't.
Have you been timing them? Braxton Hicks will be somewhat irregular, sometimes getting faster, sometimes slowing down. Real contractions will be much steadier, slowly getting closer together and more intense.
I had my baby in March, but started having serious contractions in early February. I was 3cm dilated 6 weeks before the baby was due, and had to be put on total bedrest for almost 3 weeks. When I finally did start my labour for real, the pain wasn't all that bad for me either. (never had an epidural or any other meds - the pain never got that bad) I timed contractions for half an hour, they were very regular, with the intensity slowly increasing and the time between steady at 5 minutes, then down to 4 minutes. (I even took a warm shower at 1:30am before going to the hospital, I was so sure it was going to be ANOTHER false alarm and the contractions would stop!) They didn't stop, so we went to the hospital and I had the baby.
If your contractions aren't slowing down, and they aren't getting easier or less intense, then there's a good chance it is real. Time them for a while, to be sure, and call your doctor or hospital. They'll tell you if they think you should come in or keep waiting. Sometimes labour can take a REALLY long time, and it's much easier to go throught the early stages at home rather than at the hospital if you don't need medical attention quite yet.
Good luck!

PS: 37 weeks on is considered full term, so don't worry about a thing! Good luck! (My son was born at 37wks2ds)

I had aweful Braxton hicks from 32 weeks on. Somtimes they came every 5 miniutes. You could have what I have, it is caused an irritable uterus. You have contractions but they never progress to labor. My doctor iduced me at 39 weeks because I was in so much pain. I ended up having a C-section one day after induction begain

How many weeks are you? You said cramps are you sure that it's not gas or something you ate. I had cramping all night yesterday and had Braxton Hicks, the cramping came from so much gas. I ate spicy food the day before. I'm currently 26 weeks.

Call your doctor.

You need to start timing the contractions...how many minutes apart are they? Once it gets to about 5 minutes apart you need to call the doctor. Labor can last for hours, even days. Only the end of the labor is usually very painful.

Early labour will not make you double up, but it's pretty annoying. It will build up in intensity eventually, but this might actually be the start of your labour. Just keep taking warm baths (if your waters are still intact) to help with the pain, but you should call the maternity ward to ask them what they think.. they can ask the probing questions to determine what's happening.

Call your doctor.
The cramping and the contractions that aren't going away sound like labor to me.
Even if they're not painful to you, you might be one of those lucky women who have a high pain tolerance.
Call him now, he will probably want to examine you.
Don't wait.
Good luck!!!
