I work in the stock room at a department store (some lifting, lots of bending, reaching, unpacking boxes) and it's getting to be a real stress on me because the job is so strenuous. The leg cramps, back pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, and my stomach hurts like hell when I'm standing those long hours. I already have been in one accident at work and fell into a rack back first (I went to the doctor and he found a small lump from the accident so he cut my hours for the next two weeks.) I also have had two asthma attacks on the job. The job that I'm working is a temp job. I sew/design things in my spare time to make more cash flow and it's going really well.

Now the question is, when should I leave my job and focus more on this pregnancy? I was thinking maybe at 32 - 35 weeks? Could anyone give me some advice on when I should stop working? My fiance said that I can quit if it's too much on me since he has a job, but I don't want to be dependent on him and make him work even more. :(

I agree with your fiance.

Right now, the most important thing is the baby. Forget about not being dependant on him, it's ok, you're carrying his baby!!!

I have an office job where I'm sitting most of the day - any lifting to be done is done by others and I'm quitting work at 35 weeks so that I can rest. I'm finding it hard to continue working my 35 hours a week.

I can't imagine how hard you are finding it. I would think about quitting work now and look at sewing things for babies. You can make things for your own and sell them at the same time. the Internet is great - especially ebay. Kimono style sleepers are really hard to find...

I Think Leaving Now Would Be The Best For You And Your Baby. Your Fiance Said It's Okay Then I Saw Go With It, It's Obivious That He Want The The Best For You Too.

Yes, but you need to start thinking about your safty and your babies safty...sounds like this job may be too much for you physically!!! I would try to cut your hrs back even more and then around 32 wks I would probably take time off.....If you and your fiance can handle your financial situation w/ out you working I would just stop...you can always go back to work once the baby is born and is old enough...then you will be dependent on him for a short period of time...I am sure it is in you and your babies best intrest....

If you are not getting any kind of maternity leave from this job and seem to be doing well with the sewing, I would quit and try to just pick up more sewing jobs on the side.

Good luck!

Thats easy. Quit, and focus on the sew design thing. Totebags are totally in style right now too, and so easy to sew. Plus can you make quilts out of old baby clothes, one of these days I want to have one made.

You know your body best sweetie. Listen to it.

If you can stay at home then stay home and rest.

Your fiance wants to provide for you, let him. Thats what they do, and you should feel wonderful that he is that kind of man. They are few and far between.

Keep sewing at home, make some extra cash. But NO manual labor!!!

I worked up to the day I gave birth with both children.
1st- Teacher
2nd- Medical Research.
If your job is too stressful, I would stop whenever you are financially ready.

Only your body can tell you when to leave work. With my first one I worked 40 weeks, with my second I quit at 10 weeks. It just depends. If your body feels as bad as you describe it, it may be time to quit.

the probabilities of her being pregnant are slender. Condoms, while used surprising, are greater advantageous than ninety 8% helpful. in case you're quite fearful approximately this, i could advise going to Wal-Mart or a greenback save and choosing up an at-homestead being pregnant try.
