You still have 4 weeks to go. The hospital sent you home because you were not in true labor. When your baby is ready to come into the world he/she will let you know.
When I went to the doctors for a check up at 37 weeks I was 2cm dilated, but I did not go into labor until I was 39 weeks and 5 days. Try and get caught up on some Zzz... you might not have any sleep for awhile.
Congrats and go luck on your approaching labor.

I'm 38 Weeks Pregnant And When I Was 36 Weeks Pregnant I Went To The Hospital To And They Told Me I Was Only 2cm Dialated And They Also Sent Me Home Because That Was False Labor So They Told Me To Just Lay On Your Left Side Or Take A Hot Shower. I Wanted My Baby To So I Tried To Induce Labor Myself But Nothing Worked. So Don't Wory Your Baby Will Come Mine Will Come In 7 Days.

I know you are getting impatient, but it really is best to go full term, especially if you are having a boy. Boys are lazy when they are born and if you do not carry then full term there is a chance they will not survive. Girls are better with early delivery, but just because it is OK to deliver at 36 weeks does not mean you should. It is always in your BABY'S best interest to carry them full term. There is a reason that your hospital sent you home and it is because the baby is not ready yet. Don't be selfish; think of your baby instead of your impatience. Take this time to SLEEP. Really, sleep for the next four weeks because you are going to miss those days until your baby starts sleeping through the night. I know you are miserable, but it is best to go 40 weeks.

My suggestions are that you wait to have your baby. The longer, the healthier your baby will be. I know that towards the end you just want that baby to be out, because you're so uncomfortable, your back hurts, you waddle like a duck, your ankles are swollen, you have to urinate every 10 minutes..but it will all be worth it for the sake of your baby. Full term is considered 40 weeks..and you're only 4 weeks away. Even if you are already dialated, it may be a while until you're ready to have your baby. In the meantime, just rest, and prepare for the exciting day. Don't worry, your body will let you know when it's ready to deliver.

You will have the baby. Just probably not today. You can be dilated to 2 for a couple of weeks. I have 2 nieces who were born early and believe me you don't want the baby to come before it is ready. 36 weeks isn't terribly early, but it is still early. Just try to be patient and good luck with the delivery.

I was 2cm dilated for 2wks before one of my kids was born. Sometimes it happens more quickly than for others. The hospital usually won't keep you unless you're 4cm dilated and contracting regularly. You're still a bit early, so I'd be patient and wait it out. Hopefully your little one will arrive soon, but late enough that all will be well.

you might feel like you're huge and your baby is huge, but in reality, it could be small, less than 6 pounds if you're at 36 weeks. it's best to deliver around 38-40 weeks. though you may be impatient, swollen, uncomfortable, etc., the best thing for your baby is to stay in there a little longer. so i would recommend not doing anything to bring on the labor early.

You are only 36 weeks, you still have 4 weeks to your due date, which in itself is only an estimate. Don't rush it. You do not know if that baby is fully developed and ready to come out yet. Just relax and give the baby time.

I know how you feel. I,m 38 weeks pregnant and they sent me home last week at only 1cm. It sucks at least your 2cm. They told me to walk have sex and try nipple stimulation. i"ve tryed all but nothing. maybe you will have better luck. Good luck to you and I hope you get the baby soon. It's not fun but hang in there.

no no no!! how could you WANT to have a pre-mature baby? 36 weeks is your ESTIMATED gestation! Please dont try and put yourself in labor before your baby is ready. It lungs are still maturing.

You're not 2cm dialated, you're 2cm dilated. dialated is not a word.
