Pregnancy - May 2007

Hi! Im due may 21st, and so far, this is my progress:
-1.5 cm dialated
-80% effaced
-baby dropped
-starting to lose my mucus plug
The doctor said I will go early (I know I know ive heard how there is know way he could know, whatever. Im just looking at the evidence lol)
Im losing the plug a really little bit at a time, but its increasing slowly. I havnt seen any blood in it yet, is that normal? Seeing how Im progressing, and Im losing my plug, do you think Ill go soon? Personal experience with the same situation would be great. I want to know how soon you went into labor after all this. I have been feeling more crampy lately. No, and not braxton hicks. Just crampy. Thankyou for your answers! :-)

My best friend is having a baby and has just phoned me to say her waters have broken. She isn't having contractions yet. Anybody got any idea how long it could be before the babys born?thanks

I took a pregnancy test on Friday came up positive. Based off when I ovulated I think I'm about 3 weeks and some change. I just went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was a fair amount of blood on the toilet paper. It was light pink in color, much lighter then a period. Could I be having a miscarriage? I'm not in pain and I'm not cramping. Earlier in the week I was cramping but not today.

My doctor gave me a prescription for a RhoGam vial, so I went and got it from the pharmacy and it says on the bag to refrigerate......just wondering if there is a certain temperature that it should be kept at?

Also, She gave me a paper to get my glucose test but didn't give me a sugar drink or anything......I am confused because the doctor I had with my daughter, gave me the drink and the lab paper.Is the drink necessary or what? somebody please give me some insight on all this.Thank you.

I am 12 weeks pregnant and have the most terrible gas! It doesn't matter what I eat or if I eat nothing at all, its bad. Its very uncomfortable and embarassing, especially at work. Is there anything I can do to make it better? I've tried taking beano with meals but it doesn't seem to be doing much.

I am 34 weeks pregnant tomorrow on the 3rd of may and my stomach looks lower but I am not feeling pain or having to go to the bathroom alot. So could I have dropped? This is my first baby and I am a very young mother please help a new mother!

My husband and I are having our first baby. Our shower will be girls only, but my husband will be there with me opening presents and hanging out.

We were inviting all our female friends, and our immediate female family members. I wasn't sure if I am supposed to send his step-grandma and step-cousins an invite too. They live 2 hours away and we rarely see them, I barely know them and I don't know if they expect an invite since its a "mother's" baby shower and won't really be focused on my husband. (I didn't invite them to my bridal shower because it was focused on me.)

What do you think? I don't know baby shower etiquette! Thanks!

I am 25 weeks pregnant and severely constipated! I do not take prenatal vitamins so I know that is not the cause. I am also eating a lot of veggies and drinking plenty of water. I just need something else!! The veggies and water are not working. What can I take over the counter for this problem?

I am currently 4 days late on my period. I took a pregnany test on the first day and it came out negative. I am and have been on Seasonique birth control pills for the last 9 months and before that I was on Depo (the shot). I did miss a couple pills by like 12 hrs. My last period was the last week of January (on the seasonique pill you have a week long period every three months). I thought by now my period would be normal (it was the last time i had it) but I still haven't had it yet! I've been using the restroom a lot more than usual, I get dizzy occasionally, and have been feeling as if I need more sleep every day, and ocassional breast tenderness, swollen breasts as if they are bigger, sensitivity to certain odors, and some abdominal bloating. I even recall spotting a couple of weeks ago. I have been feeling this way for the past 2 weeks. I don't know what to think and would hate to waste a trip to the doctors office. Should I take another test and if so when, or am I going crazy?

I'm 13.5 weeks with baby#1. I normally would love nothing more than to eat SunChips (which are salty), now lately, nothing tastes better than ice cream with chocolate syrup or fruit snacks or a sweet treat. Would you say i'm having a girl or just changing in hormones and tastebuds that the salt is being replaced by sweets now? What do you think? (just for fun, of course nobody can be sure until we know for sure...) Thanks

I went to the Dr. on Monday (4/30) to take a urine pregnancy test. It came out negative, but because of a medication I am needing to take, she went ahead and did a blood pregnancy test. I got a call the following day, telling me my test results came back "undetermined". The only information I found regarding an inconclusive result is that my HCG is above 5 and below 24. Does this mean I am pregnant, but determining whether it's a healthy pregnancy has yet to be determined? Can it mean I'm not? I really need some help. I've had the sore breasts, but that only last a few days last week. I've not had any symptoms that I can tell, other than increased appetite, severe fatigue, and some cramping. However, I can relate these symptoms to other things, so hence more confusion. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

My sister in law is due on May 10th. The doctor wanted to induce labor tomorrow, not for medical reasons, but because the doctor was going on vacation. My sister in-law decided not to induce because it is too risky. Has anyone ever head of this before? A doctor inducing labor one week early because the doctor was going on vacation? How absurd!!!!

Faint line but not many symptoms? I took a pg test this morning and I got an exteremly faint line. Thinking that it might be an evap line, simply because my daughter woke up so I didn't check it until about 10 min. later. I was supposed to start my period Sat. I don't have many symptoms. Just very tired, heartburn and constipation. Do you think I should test again? Was this a positive? What do you guys think!!

im still 2 months late going on 2 and half now :-) get my results fri right my lower back kills me keep getting a discharge like clear snot everymorning (normally only get that when ovulate and once a month not everyday ) im going off food (i normally can eat loads trust me ) i feel sick morning and night boobs ache now and then and cramps like period comming now and then but look just discharge my vagina feels swollen too in side sex felt funny last night sorry :-( i took 2 tests already but they was 89p and 1 a pound so dr wanted me to one there i suffer with pocs been trying 6 yrs had a mc 4 yrs ago so you can see why i keep going on coz im on the edge of me sit lol oh yeah my bf said my boobs more pointy plus headaches 4 4 wks now mirgraine for 3 of them wks SO GUYS PUT ME STRAIGHT WHAT YOU THINK ??

i have only just started taking the contraceptive pill and about 7 days later i had unprotected sex but he didn't ejaculate inside me. i am really paranoid about everything and am really worried im pregnant. we have had unprotected sex a few times since then but ive taken the pill every day as instructed. my breasts are really tender which can be a side effect of pregnancy but also from the pills i am taking so im quite confused!! also another big problem is that ever since i started taking the pills i never stopped bleeding. it has only been very light but does this affect the effectiveness of the pill? please help me!!
also when you are meant to have a period on the 7 pill free days, is this just withdrawal bleeding or is this a real period and can therefore show that i am not pregnant?

I'm almost 37 weeks pregnant and thus far have had a fairly easy pregnancy (not to brag or anything...), but today, while walking my usual 2 blocks to and from work, I had a sudden sharp pain in my lower belly. I've had a dull ache there before (Braxton Hicks) but this one caused me to stop walking completely. When I tried to walk again, I couldn't because the pain was so intense. For about 5 minutes afterwards, I had to walk very slowly, clutching my stomach. What was that and is it something to worry over? I see my doctor next Tuesday, btw. Thanks for your help!

A friend of mine took one hit of Marijuana at 24-25 weeks of pregnancy. She also inhaled it second hand. Does anyone think that is enough to hurt her baby?

Ok, my friend is expecting her period on the 9th of this month; she had sex yesterday using condom. her boyfriend released the sperm and tried to come out of her vagina, while doing this, the condom got stuck. She got the condom out and the sperm was inside the condom. She is worried because she thinks she might be pregnant. Can this really make her pregnant? Please! help.

3 days ago my DH had a problem with the condom we were using. It was my peak ovulation day. Yesterday I started having pain on my lower right abdomin and today I have had an bad headache. Is it way to early to have symtoms?? Only 3 days in. Are these even symptoms of early PG?

I'm in my sixth week, i woke up this morning and when I wiped myself I had what looked like old blood coming out of me, its dark like reddish brown. Will I miscarry? I have had cramps thee entire time I have been pregnant, the doc said they were normal (my uterus stretching) so has this happened to anyone else before?

I had an ultrasound done yesterday to predict the gender and they said girl. I am wondering how accut\rate those really are. I am 18 weeks and 3 days. Also are the 3d ultrasounds really worth it?
