Hi! Im due may 21st, and so far, this is my progress:
-1.5 cm dialated
-80% effaced
-baby dropped
-starting to lose my mucus plug
The doctor said I will go early (I know I know ive heard how there is know way he could know, whatever. Im just looking at the evidence lol)
Im losing the plug a really little bit at a time, but its increasing slowly. I havnt seen any blood in it yet, is that normal? Seeing how Im progressing, and Im losing my plug, do you think Ill go soon? Personal experience with the same situation would be great. I want to know how soon you went into labor after all this. I have been feeling more crampy lately. No, and not braxton hicks. Just crampy. Thankyou for your answers! :-)

This is exactly what happened with me in my second pregnancy.....mucus plugs aren't the nicest thing in the world to see huh? I ended up going in to labor about a week after I started loosing pieces of the mucus plug. Pack your bags, you should be on your way shortly (good luck!!).

Well the crampy feeling is your cervix effacing. Your mucus plug can come out a week or more before you actually go into labor. So...
Labor is definitely in the process of starting, but it may be a few days or more before it happens. Get some rest now, you'll need it later.

im 1 day overdue now with my first... my baby dropped at week 35, was dilated 1 cm by week 37, 1.5cm by week 38 and now am at 2, 50% effaced and have been losing my mucous plug for about 2 weeks now. as for blood in the mucous plug, i only ever saw one teeny tiny little spot and had a little bit of pink on the toilet paper the first time i noticed it. other than that since then its just been white goopy stuff, kind of like when your partner ejaculates inside of you and then you go to the bathroom afterwards. like i said, i havent gone into labor yet either and the doctor thought i would go early as well. every other woman in my family went before their due dates (anywhere between 3 weeks and 1 week before) and im the first to go overdue. its too hard to say when you'll go into labor because those symptoms are of your body preparing for labor, and there are no symptoms to when the baby's ready to come out. ultimately, they're the ones that decide and theres no way of telling when they will be ready. but be happy your body knows what its doing and is prepariung itself in the meantime and enjoy the last few weeks of your old life before baby comes (i know its hard to think that way when you're so excited)

i lost my mucus plus at 37 weeks and thats when i started getting really crampy. i didnt go into labor until 2 days before my due date. i was 3 cms dialated but i wasnt effaced and my baby didnt drop until i was in labor, there was blood in my mucus plug but my doctor said a little is normal. its really hard to tell when you will go but you are progressing which will make it a faster labor, but i dont think that you will go into labor for possibly a couple more weeks, because your only 1.5 cms. that can go REALLY slow for some people.

Well, I was 2cm, 80% effc, the baby had dropped and I lost most of my plug on a Monday, had a dr's appointment on a Tuesday. He told me 2 more weeks probably, but I went into labor that Friday night. It's really different for each person, but it definately sounds like you're getting ready to go into labor. BTW, my plug did have blood in it, so you probably have only lost a little of it.

Yes because you are 80% effaced. I'm due May 8th and am 75 percent effaced. My doctor says I could pop at anytime. If you are due the 21st and are already loosing your mucus plug... THAT and your baby has dropped already. Yes, I would say you are going to have your baby within a two week period.

Well I was 1.5cm dialated for 4 months and I lost my mucus plug all the time. It comes back after a certain amount of time. Mine never had any blood in it and if it ever does for you then you need to go to the ER unless you have just been checked for dialation by your doctor or had intercourse. It doesn't sound like you have far to go but you never know! Good luck and congrats!

Oh and I had her one week early because I was induced.

Okay, well I can tell you what happened to me. Everything you're describing is exactly the same as what happened to me during my second pregnancy. But if this is your first, which is sounds like, it may take longer for your body to figure things out. Since it was my second, it only took me 4 days from the first sign of the plug and crampiness before my son was born. But I can't promise that with your first it'll be the fast. Good luck and congratulations!

I lost my plug little by litle starting at 28 weeks, and it wasn't tinged with blood until 36 weeks. I went into labor at 38 weeks, 2 weeks after my doctor told me plug was totally gone. I was dilated to 2 and 100% effaced 7 days before I went into labor.

You should be sure that the doctor has a good take on what's happening to you. You don't want to leak and leave the baby in a dry sack.
When I started to leak I went directly to the hospital and the doctor was glad because I was leaking quite a bit. Labor was induced and I still had to have a c-section because my daughter was breached (coming feet
first).

Go to the doctor.

God Bless
