I had one 10 yrs ago immediately after delivering my twins. It was done through my navel......so, there's no scars. I never experienced any pain at all. I also haven't experienced any other problems. The procedure doesn't take long at all. No regrets.

After having 2 with only 9 months apart, there was no way in hell I was leaving the hospital without a tubal ligation.
If you get it done after natural birth, there is a 3 day wait in case the tubes are swollen.
If you give birth with the aid of a C section, the doctor will go in there and do his/her job right away.
I gave birth naturally so there was a 3 day wait. I don't think that I had time to think about the pain when I had 2 little ones home in diapers.
I know that it wasn't that bad.
Good Luck

I just had one 7 weeks ago, 30 minutes after I delivered my son. Mine was different because my epidural had stopped working 45 minutes before I delivered and for some reason was not able to get it working again so I had to be sedated for the procedure. It was uncomfortable for about a week after the surgery. I was still able to get up and do things but had to pace myself. Some people say that periods and PMS gets better after having a TL, but I am now experiencing the total opposite. I wish I had done more research prior to having it. At this moment, I regret doing it. But that could just still be the hormones from only giving birth 7 weeks ago.

I did 8 years ago, I didn't feel anything at all and it was done inside my navel, however I do get bad periods and back pains. The doctor says is related to the operation. BTW the operation only takes an hour or so.

I had one right after my last baby it was ok, you just feel weird in your belly for a few days like when you cough or laugh. no pain really though it wasnt bad for me. Are you having it done? If you are dont worry it wasnt painful and they do it through your belly button so theres really hardly a scar. Good luck! Hope i helped.

Best thing that I ever did. Quick, easy and no complications.
In retrospect, would have had a hysterectomy, and that way, no periods either. Don't need a uterus if not having anymore children, so consider that option. Best wishes

I had one 4 years ago. No visible scars, and no problems. It was an outpatient procedure, I went home that day and it was pretty much business as usual.
