I am 12 weeks pregnant and have the most terrible gas! It doesn't matter what I eat or if I eat nothing at all, its bad. Its very uncomfortable and embarassing, especially at work. Is there anything I can do to make it better? I've tried taking beano with meals but it doesn't seem to be doing much.

Fart...Seriously...Fart. You're pregnant you're allowed to do those things now. Plus it will make you feel better. It's uncomfortable holding it in. Let it rip discreatley Just try to go in a empty room. I have the same thing. I wouldn't take meds unless recommended by your doctor. It's a natural thing, don't worry about it. LOL

Gas is part of being pregnant. So if your not showing much the best thing I can tell you is, stay as far away from people for a while until the gas problem has passed...Congrats on your pregnancy

Try not to eat food that will not give you gas so much. Take tums comes very handy. Tums become my best friend for my pregnancy.

Unfortunately, there's little we preggos can do about gas. (preggo used affectionately). Our bodies digest food slower to ensure that every single vitamin and mineral is sucked from it. Ergo...it sits in our stomachs adn intestines longer...ergo a major gas buildup! you can avoid certain "gassy" foods, but generally this is one of those embarassing things that we have to deal with.

The first time I farted in front of my husband, was on our honeymoon when I was about 12 weeks also. We had both just started to fall asleep, and I farted so loud, it woke both of us up!!!

From that point on, I would get the walking farts, the sitting farts, the laughing farts....face it sweetie...until that baby is born, your body is not really yours anymore, and has a mind of it's own. Learn to laugh about it.

Gelusil Liquid and sometimes ENO Lemon salt, may reduce your gas problems but it is better to get a doc to advice you in your particular case who is your regular doc.
