Pregnancy - January 2007

ive been haning pains all over in my back stomach and they'll last for hours you know every few mins but then go away after a few hours. and last week i got my cervix checked and im 1cm so i get another check up tomorrow. i'v also been having this leeking feeling but the dr says it might be from exam but i still feel it like every other day. i dont know maybe its just my plug leaking i dont know. and another thing does anyone know any really good way to induce labor i'm so teird of being pregnant.

Would I know by now
I had sex 5 months ago unprotected but I had normal periods since and even took a HPT 1 month after the incident and have felt toatlly normal since but want reassurance for some reason.

BTW I am not a big person and Ihave not been gaining any weight lol.

I just asked a little bit ago about my mucus plug. I lost big chunks of what was obviously really thick mucus. And am continuing to.

I see my midwife tomorrow, and have her number all set to dial... i just dont want to freak out (i JUST got back from the maternity ward for a NST due to what the nurse thought was high BP, turns out all is fine) It just seems it'd be waaaay too ironic to be in labor tonight.

Anyway, Ive been having really strong contractions, theyre not close together or anything, but they actually hurt. I dont know, i cant discribe it. Ive had a TON of braxon hicks, where your stomach and lower back, and pelvis area get ROCK HARD for about 90 seconds or so, but no pain. Iam still getting those, only waaay more (still not five minutes apart of anything), except now I have pain inbetween those contractions... almost like a contraction? GAH i cant explain it.

I was checked on friday, iam 37 weeks, half way effaced (as of friday), baby is dropped and fully engaged.

I am just over 25wks pregnant and i hear conflicting views about my size. Sometimes i'm told i'm small sometimes big for my dates.

Anyway regardless of what they say i feel absolutely enormous! Everyone says i've only put on weight in my stomach but i can see it on my thighs and butt too. I feel like a whale and i've still got another 15 (possibly 17) wks to go.

Anyone else feel fat at 25wks?
Any tips on maintaining a healthier body image?

Obviously i'm not suggesting i lose weight, i do recognise its baby, but i feel awful when i look in the mirror - all i can see is this fat person looking back at me (may be irrational but those are my thoughts) and it depresses me!!

Ok so tonight I took the First Response Pregnancy Test. It came back positive. But the second line is darker than the first line. That is ok right?

I will be 36 weeks on wednesday and today for some reason everytime i eat i feel like i'm going to puke and i have to try and force it down. it doesn't happen all the time but i has happened before, like once or twice. what could be the cause and how do i prevent it from happening?

I just hit 37 weeks, and while I was in the bathroom I lost this big quarter size glob of snotty looking mucus stuff. It was really really thick, you could see through it kinda...

And then a little bit ago some more of the same stuff was on some toilet paper after I peed...

That sounds like a mucus plug right? Ive heard you can loose it in bits and pieces. There wasnt any bloody show, or any old blood in the mucus, but it gets less transparent and thicker the more that comes out.

That'd be a mucus plug right? Or parts of it?

I have had a miscarrage about 2 months ago and the pain just doesnt seem to be getting better. I cry myself to seep every night and ive just not got a social life anymore. I still have my scan picture, i try my hardest not to look at it but its impossible. The pregnancy caused me and my boyfriend to split up and now i feel total alone i cant talk to anyone about how im feeling, i think me bottling it up is making me worse, anyone out there in the same situation?

ok, im really nervous now! I noticed the counting stop going up, and is now going down, and at 30 weeks this really scares me...

what are the chances of me having an early labor??? (preterm) i did smoke for 4 out of the 7 1/2 months???

i talked to my doctor about not having to have an epiderial, and she said the best way to avoid that is stay as far away from the hospital for as long as possiable, but i told her i did want an alternitive, she suggested something other then Demerol, any ideas??? i forgot what she said it was...


mom's please share some of your first time baby stories, im scared, and really nervous, i keep getting really crabby, and it makes my fiance in turn really crabby, is this normal??? please say it is!!!

I had sex about 3 weeks ago on a sunday. My period was due that thursday/friday. It did not come. On that friday i had nausea and sore breasts. The nausea lasted 2 days and the sore breasts lasted for 5 days (they did grow and are still that size). I took a pregnancy test when i was 2-3 days late and came up negative. 9 days after intercourse i felt a pain in my lower left abdomen that lasted for about 6 or 7 hours then i never felt again. After about a week of having sore breasts and nausea, my symptoms went away completely and that next thursday (1 week late for my period and 11 days after intercourse) i bled on the heavier side for 2 days and the period or implantation bleeding stopped after 6 days total. My periods usually last about 7 days and i am always regular. I am experiencing slight back pains but i think its due to work since i work in a department store and always walk around. I need insight on if you think i am pregnant or not. i plan to take another hpt in a day or so.

My mother has told me (probably annoying old wives tales) to avoid watermelon and pineapples at all cost during my pregnancy. I looove watermelon but luckily it's not in season I guess.

Has anyone else been told this as well? It apparently causes your baby to have eczma or asthma (I can't remember which one) but I can't find any articles on this. Has anyone found any health issues with their kids from eating alot of watermelons or pineapples during their pregnancy? It would be useful if there is some medical evidence somewhere on this stuff.
