lower back pain, intense contractions, and your water breaking are some signs of labor. not everyone's water breaks, so most of the time, you have to be looking and monitoring your pain and the way you feel.

some good ways to go into labor, is to walk a lot. walk as much as your body can physically stand, it will help sway the baby and move him/her into your pelvis, and it will also ease the pain. you could also have sex and make sure you have an orgasm. male semen loosens the cervix and makes it easier to dilate. also when you have an orgasm your cervix contracts and helps with the stretching.

good luck...i'm not too far behind you:):)

When your in the hospital giving birth no actually i have 6 kids a total of 5 pregnancys ( twins ) were one of my pregnancy , anyway , most women when they loose there mucus plug will have a slight redish pink discharge , and withen aabout a couple days to a week the baby is born , a way to tell if your having true contractions is to take a warmmmm bath not really really hot but good and warm and if its true labor when u get out the pain will intensifi if false they will subside , there is also what they call braxstin hick contractions , that prepare u for the actuall thing , braxtin hicks will stop in a hour or so , another thing u can do is around the same time every day or night lay on your right side and count how many times you feel the baby move , the closer to delvery you are the mess move ment u will have . but when in doubt always go to the hospital your not the only one who went to the hospital only to find out if its false labor , u can never be to safe , everyones labor is diffrnet some have sharp pain , some just have what feels like gas pain etc , all i can say is dont fight the pain let nature take its course either way i hope you have a healthy babie and u and babie are fine after delevery good luck

Until the contractions are at regular intervals and seem to keep getting stronger and last longer its most likely braxton hicks, They do get stronger at the end of pregnancy. You may very well have a discharge but a "leeky feeling" wouldnt typically describe water breaking. Its more of a gush, and with contractions it gushes as well. Woman get some discharge prior to onset of labor as well as braxton hicks to prepare your body for the big day.
Having intercourse, nipple stimulation will help bring labor on. I would try a back massager, the vibraty kind smack dab on your breasts. Its not the most comfortable feeling and you might get some contractions with it that will make you want to stop, but nipple stimulation produces pitocin naturally in your system which is what they use to induce labor. Good luck I feel you. I have 3 kids!

When your contractions are 2-3 min apart and have been doing that for the 5-10 mins then you may be in labor. when you are around 5-6 months you start having Braxton Hicks contraction, well when you are in labor these contraction compare nothing to labor contractions, because this pain is excruciating. You will know when you are in labor b/c you will want to go to the hospital. You can induce you labor by walking, playing with your breast, and having sex with your partner and let him ejaculate inside seems to start the process of labor, b/c that happened to me. I did all three of these things and they work,

To induce take long walks, do not over do it. You can also take two chairs and sit on them with one but* cheek on each. It makes u squat and the baby will drop thus put you in labor. If u r still only 1cm tomarrow u have a couple wks to go, if u r 3cm or more u could go w/in a wk. Good luck!

Sounds like you're already in labour... slow labour, but trust me it will come!! I don't think your mucous plug leaks out slowly... but if your water breaks it does!!
I think you'll be in the hospital within 24 hours!!

PS. Castor oil isn't worth it!!
