busy growing, getting ready to keep u up all night in a few weeks time by kicking the living day light out of ur bladder! lol. ain't that bad i promice. anyway, ur baby can move all its limbs now, just not hard enuf 4 u 2 feel, i think the first teeth buds are developing now and so r the finger nails. im pretty sure he's laying down a layer or fat but he's still transluciant at the mo.

At 13 weeks...the baby is looking more 'human like'. It's eyes are movign closer inwards (since they started off on the sides of it's head), and the ears are moving into their normal place on teh sides of the head. The head of you baby is HUGE compared to it's body...it's head is about half as long as it's body length is (totally normal by the way...)...and the growth of the head will slow down now and the body will begin to catch up. Your baby weighs about 1/2-3/4 oz. It is still VERY tiny, but it is abotu the size of a clemintine (tiny orange/tangerine). Its' intestines are becoming more developed. And it's genetalia are formed enough now to be recognized outside of the womb (some ultra sounds can tell by this stage as well).



You shoudl look into buying a book (or getting it from the library) called: Your Pregnancy Week by Week


It explains everythign that is going on each week...it is fun to read, puts everythgin simple to understand, talks abotu other areas of your pregnancy that week (such as pain, symptoms, tests you can have done, etc) and the thing I LOVE abotu it is that it gives you pictures of what your baby actually looks like and pictures of it's ACTUAL size, which is SO COOL to see!!! (up until it is bigger htan teh book of course...haha). It is WAY better than 'What to Expect When You Are Expecting"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I wrote about what is going on with yor baby was taken right out of that book (I left a few things out...because each week is usually about 5 pages long with info abotu everythign going on.)

baby's eyes and ears are clearly definable , but the eyelids are still fused shut, they open around the 30th week. all of the muscles organs and nerves are formed and beginning to function together. Tissue that will become bone is developing around the baby's head and within the arms and legs. baby can move his or her body in jerking motions, flexing the arms and kicking the legs.
