I had sex about 3 weeks ago on a sunday. My period was due that thursday/friday. It did not come. On that friday i had nausea and sore breasts. The nausea lasted 2 days and the sore breasts lasted for 5 days (they did grow and are still that size). I took a pregnancy test when i was 2-3 days late and came up negative. 9 days after intercourse i felt a pain in my lower left abdomen that lasted for about 6 or 7 hours then i never felt again. After about a week of having sore breasts and nausea, my symptoms went away completely and that next thursday (1 week late for my period and 11 days after intercourse) i bled on the heavier side for 2 days and the period or implantation bleeding stopped after 6 days total. My periods usually last about 7 days and i am always regular. I am experiencing slight back pains but i think its due to work since i work in a department store and always walk around. I need insight on if you think i am pregnant or not. i plan to take another hpt in a day or so.

wait for another week. that'll give you about 45 to 48 days since your last period. all those symtoms are most probably due to anxiety because it is too early to have any symptoms right now. just relax because anxiety causes you to have a late period. sore breasts and nausea and all the pains in your abdomen are psychosomatic, that means you are worried and feeling all these things but are normal pains you usually get right before your period. sore breasts, nausea, pains in the abdomen could be menstrual pains.

sometimes when you are late having your period you end up having very heavy period so that if you bled heavy for 2 days and lasted 6 days, that could be your period. you have to remember that it is winter and colder, so your period is affected. normally, you can get heavy periods when it is cold as compared to summer on warmer days, your period is less heavy and last longer. the amount of discharge is always the same. if you bleed more for less days, it is the same as bleeding less in more days.

i think you'll be just fine. you had a late heavy period and that was it. if you feel like it, take another pregnancy test just for your peace of mind after a week.

sweetie, for your peace of mind, start taking contraceptives. you do not know when you will need it, so just take it. that way, you never have to go to the trauma you are going through now. it will be worth the cost and safety of knowing you are safe. don't take a chance unless you are ready to get pregnant. it is a simple little pill you take daily or there are patches you can use. if you are too young to buy some, get in touch with the local free health clinic and they will provide you all that for free.

take care of yourself.

I am in the same situation, I had sex 3 and a half week ago and i came on my period the start of this week but it only lasted a couple of days. I have done a pregnancy test but it came back negative. I don't think I am pregnant, although I am having really bad nausea and my boobs are bigger-which is actually quite good. And I am having really strange dreams when I sleep-which is what I want to do all the time!! I'm going to do another home pregnancy test in a week or so.

For sure you take another pregnancy test. You could have an std, or an ovarian cyst or you could be pregnant.
Usually nausea and sore breasts don't happen for a few weeks after, not days.
Time to see your family DR for sure or your GYN.

WHY, oh WHY do people chose to ask these questions when they could be spending the same amount of time peeing on a stick on finding out for sure?????

Take another test, the first one you took may have been too soon. Or, go to your doctor, and they will be able to tell you.
