I just hit 37 weeks, and while I was in the bathroom I lost this big quarter size glob of snotty looking mucus stuff. It was really really thick, you could see through it kinda...

And then a little bit ago some more of the same stuff was on some toilet paper after I peed...

That sounds like a mucus plug right? Ive heard you can loose it in bits and pieces. There wasnt any bloody show, or any old blood in the mucus, but it gets less transparent and thicker the more that comes out.

That'd be a mucus plug right? Or parts of it?

Yes, that sounds like it. Mine wasn't bloody, either, and came out in bits and pieces, too.

It definitly sounds like the mucus plug, sometimes the bloody discharge doesn't come until you start dilating more. That beyond everything else was always my real true sign that I was going to be in labor soon. I had 3 kids and with all 3 that was the way I knew it was going to happen soon. Make sure you mention it to the doctor the next time you go for a check up if you don't have the baby before that!!

sure sounds like it. It could have been all of it or just part of it. Just dont get to excited yet, it can still be several weeks before labor actually starts. But it is a sign that you have begun to dilate! I lost my plug when I was 36 weeks and delivered my daughter at 37w2d. It shouldnt be long now since you are already 37 weeks! Good Luck and congrats in advance!

That IS your plug. After 3 kids Id now the description anywhere. It means you have begun to dialate and labor is immenant. It could take another week before you begin contracting but dont dismiss cramping IN your vagina, what seems to be indigestion or back pain. Better safe than sorry, you can always go to Labor and delivery and have them evaluate you if you are noticably uncomfortable. Your close enough to your due date that they wont stop the labor if thats the case. Next step could be your water breaking but that doesnt always happen at onset of labor. Everyone experiences labor differently then other woman even from one pregnancy to another. Good Luck and CONGRATS

in certainly one of my pregnancies I lost the plug 6 circumstances. It happens then it grows back. i'm a mum to untimely little ones yet as quickly as I lost the plug "for actual" issues have been already occurring so it wasn't ambiguous. while you're in contact bypass and get looked at, there's a try they are in a position to do which will tell them the probability of you going into labour in the subsequent 2 weeks, they are in a position to additionally examine your cervix to work out how dilated you're - while you're.

It was parts of it. I had this happen before I went into labor a few times. First it was small amounts like what you are describing. Then one day I found a big blob on my panties. It was gross. Anyway it was much more than a quarter, I would say it was a small handful of stuff. Well, I went into labor three days later.

Yep! Are you getting excited yet? Silly question huh? Anyway, it could be a couple more weeks before labor starts but at least you know you are progressing and it's getting close.

Good luck!
