I took a test at about 14 DPO and it was borderline. I was soooo mad. Then we took another one at 17 DPO and it was positive. Good luck

I had a negative qualitative blood test, however it was very early in pregnancy. The qualitative test is designed to give a positive result when there is a certain amount of the hormone hcg present. Everyone's pregnancy is different and sometimes women produce the hormone at different rates. After I was 2 months late, I convinced my doctor to run a quantitative pregnancy test just to ease my mind. The quantitative test actually "counts" how much hcg is in your system and gives the doctor an actual number relative to that amount ... not just a positive or negative. Women who aren't pregnant usually have a "0" on this test, any number higher than 5 indicates something is definitely going on. Maybe you should request this test from your doctor. You'll have to go to your OBGYN because family practitioners won't order it for you. Good luck.

*BTW I am 33 weeks pregnant now!

Pregnant women produce very different levels of hormones during the pregnancy. It is even possible to have almost untraceable amounts all the way up to delivery. If you are truly worried about the blood test being false, simply ask to have an ultrasound performed.
