they say its best to sleep on your left side, its got to do with the position of the baby and its supposed to create more circulation, but, i say sleep wherever your comfortable, it decreases high blood pressure, uncomfort and stress. sleep, wherever you feel comfy. happy dreams.

I've heard its best to sleep on your left side because it increases circulation however my doc told me to sleep however i am comfortable. You don't sleep in the same position all night anyway so its ok. I too favour the right side but i move alot (25wks pregnant and very uncomfortable no matter which way i sleep). I may fall asleep on my right side but through out the night i'll wake up on my back then on my left side then on my right side again! lol.
If baby is uncomfortable baby will let you know.. mine does! An almighty kick will wake me up and have me changing positions again in no time! lol.
Best of luck! :)

I actually have an same problem each and every now and then. I speculate it will be from my cellular telephone, which probable has all kinds of gross stuff on it. attempt to sparkling it more desirable typically, in case you do not already try this. I also have a tendency to %. at my zits. at the same time as the small bumps arise on the right aspect, I actually have a nasty habit of choosing at them, which motives an ongoing cycle of choosing, redness, therapeutic, etc. Wash with a gentle purifier (cetaphil), and do not use scrubs or scrub at it!

It is best to sleep on your left side because it is best for blood flow through the umbilical cord, for circulation, and for the baby to get everything it needs. HOWEVER, it is perfectly fine to sleep on your right side as well. It is not good to slep on your back after 24 weeks (I think it is 24 weeks...ask your doc for sure)...because it can slow down circulation to the baby, and it can put pressure on the veins and arteries going down your back (from the weight of your uterus pressing on your spine) and cut circulation to yor legs...
With that being said...if you happen to wake up on your back...just roll over. You will NOT kill or harm your baby by laying on your back...you will get uncomfortable enough to move (leg pain, etc) before circulation hasbeen slowed down too much or anything.
Good luck and congrats!

They say that if you have a heart problem you should not sleep on the left side because your heart is on that side more than the right and it puts more pressure on the heart muscle. If you are healthy and have no problems sleeping on either side is fine.

I have never heard that it was good to sleep on either side during pregnancy. I know it is good to lay on your left side to lower your blood pressure.
