Pregnancy - January 2007

I had my Membranes stripped this morning at 11am and it's 2:15 now and I'm feeling lower back pains (dull but present), and more pressure down there. God I hope this is the beginning of labor. My vision is a little blury too and my shoulders are achy . ADVICE anyone?? I'm 40 weeks, 3 cm dilated and 50% efaced, my due date is 1/19/07 (this friday).

My friend has a fairly nice house and my friends asked if we could use her house for my baby shower. She was happy to lend us her place. Here's my question...there are about 40 guests which are all women. If we were to add children, it would add about another 20 bodies and the space is limited. Not to mention, she has nice things in her house and I wouldn't want kids running around breaking things.....how can I make it an "Women Only" shower without offending anyone. My friends told me that it shouldn't be a problem because baby showers should be for adults anyway. It's only a 3 hour party....what do you think?

Every time i go to the bathroom and whenever i wiped, i get this snot-like, sometimes its very light, clear/green/yellowish vaginal discharge. Also SLIME!! Its not brown or bloody or whatever people refered to as mucus plug. Is it mucus plug? Or am i getting ready to go in delivery?

okay if im on birth control will my mom find out even if i hide the pills.for instance, say if she wants me to have a check up and they draw blood from me, will that be traced in my blood or something of that nature?

Today is the first day of my missed period. My husband and I have been trying to start a family, so I'm anxious to see if I'm pregnant.I did a First Response test this morning, and it came back negative. I know that in up to 10% of pregnancies, the implantation occurs after the first day of the missed period, But I was just curious... have any moms out there expeirenced a neagtive in the first couple days of a missed period and turned out to be pregnant? im a little over 2 weeks late. i have a 5 month old and im still BF her. i was 2 weeks late last period but i started at 2 weeks. but i took a test today and there was a faint positive line. im going to take a test again in a couple of days. but i wanted to know does this happen alot with tests? is there a high chance that my HCG level is just low at the moment and i am pregnant????? just need some answers please. Hi. I'm only 9 weeks but I'm bleeding every morning. Not a lot. I had u/s 2 days ago, and everything looked good, HR very good (164). Did anyone else have this? They just said no sex and no real exercise. Also said my placenta is close to my cervix. I am not too worried, but would like to hear from others. Thanks.

The pains are on and off again. Sometimes its extremely uncomfortable, other times I feel fine. Could this be early labor signs or is it maybe just from the baby repositioning herself and putting pressure on my spine?

i have a friend and like maybe 2 weeks after she had sex she complained about her stomach hurting often than usual, But with that its been almost 2 months since she has had sex, she's came on her period twice but still complaining about her stomach hurting more than usual and her stomach is growing like she actually looks like she could be a month pregnant. If she's on her period can it be a possibility that she can still be pregnant

I Am 17 years old im gonna be 18 in 5 months. Im pregnant and i was hoping for a little guidance on the subject. My boyfriend is going into the marine core. And while he will be back from bootcamp in 3 months he still will be leaving again. Im hopeing to attend college in the fall (pending acceptance letters) and i am going to be moving to either texas or arizona to do so. Does anyone know of any programs to help with financial costs in those areas. Also any other advice about my situation would be much appreciated. IM very distressed and though i intend to keep the baby i want to know wat my options are for the best possible life for me and my child.

my period before december 15 was november 15,2006. I believe they were normal periods.the doctor did a ultrasound but did not see the baby yet,They said i was 2-3 weeks pregnant and the blood work confirmed it. I went to my first OB appointment. I was "supposed" to be 10.5 wks. Well my doctor measured my belly and I measured 14 wks. Then she did an internal exam and she said that by feeling my uterus she thinks I'm only roughly 8 wks. Why are all my measurements so far off?? 8 wk uterus but my belly measures 14cm!?!?! have an u/s scheduled but this is driving me nuts! Please let me know what you make of this!

Florida doctors?
yes im a currently pregnant with my second child and i am having problems finding a florida doctors where i live that will take my medicad insurance . i haev a hmo plan and noone will except it where i am i have called numerous numbers to get it fixed to a different plan only to keep getting the run around with different numbers i'm getting so frustrated with the system that i feel that i'm not being helped like i shoudl be. i can't even make my 1 1/2 year old a doctors appt. because of our insurance what i can i do to have this fixed? please help??? i'm desperate right now i'll try anything and i live in graceville fla. that what the question was and why i was posting this

Alright the reason I am asking you all this and I mainly want this answered from women who have recently found out they were pregnant or are not that far along in their pregnancy or women who can remember if this is something they experienced. For the last two days I have been getting these weird abdominal feelings like light light pressure or almost like a light pressure in my lower tummy. My boobs are getting more sore by the day and my nipples are getting darker too ( didn't have this with my pregnancy with my son ) and just a weird feeling like maybe this is my month FINALLY. I am not going to test at all until the end of the month although my period is due on the 21st I want to wait til the 30th before I test to be sure the hormones are strong enough. I use Lysol disinfectant around my house and I have been using it for only a short while for the last two days when I spray it the smell makes me sick, I am more aware of smells around me and seems like I have a super nose lol ..

I had sex about a month ago on December 10th. My period was due that thursday (14th). It did not come. On that friday(15th) i had nausea and sore breasts. The nausea lasted 2 days and the sore breasts for 5 days (they did grow and are still that size). I took a pregnancy test 2-3 days late and came up negative(17th). 9 days after intercourse i felt a pain in my lower left abdomen that lasted 6 or 7 hours and never felt again. After 5 days of having sore breasts and nausea, my symptoms went away completely and that next thursday (1 week late for my period/11 days after intercourse) i bled on the heavier side for 2 days and the period or implantation bleeding stopped after 5 maybe 6 days (after 3 it almost stopped completely but continued the next day). It has now been over 4 weeks... i have no pregnancy symptoms, i am not tired.. only when i work and the only thing i have are headaches which i have always had even before now and my legs and feet get sore after workin for 2-3 hours.
