It is completely and entirely illegal for your mom to know anything about your health care without your permission. So you should be responsible for your health and take the birth control and just keep the pills to yourself and you'll be fine.

No. I work for an MD and although there may be a test out there that would say "this blood has birth control in it" - doctors don't generally give blood tests to find that information out. Your mom would basically have to say to the doctor "I want her tested to find out if she is taking birth control pills." And even then, I can't imagine too many doctors who wouldn't at that point have a long conversation with her to discourage drawing your blood for that reason. Don't stress. OH, and also, I'm proud of you for being responsible where unwanted pregnancy is concerned if you're already sexually active. However, please also ALWAYS protect your health and make your boyfriend wear a condom at ALL instances of intercourse. STD's can make you ill, be embarrassing, some are permanent with no cure, and what's worse - some can lead to deadly cancers later on. So, have fun, be in love, do your thing - but be careful!

Why are you so against your mother finding out that you're on birth control? I'd think that any mother would be happy that their daughter is responsible enough to take precautions against unwanted pregnancy.
The hormones that the pills put in your body will only be traceable if your blood is tested specifically for those hormones. Blood tests are done for specific things and can't cover every little detail. However it's a good idea to tell your doctor that you're on the pill, because the pill's effectiveness can be reduced by other medication.

I would love to see you and your mom's relationship change. It would be great if you could confide in her about everything. She most likely has old fashioned ideas about sex before marrage. It is best because you save your heart like that. Your question is not clear. If you become pregnant it will show up in your urine. If your sexually active your mother will not need a test to tell her that you are. Most usually it's real clear in a young girls attitude. The boys usually can tell by the way you walk. That sounds funny. My first husband told me that. It's sort of like telling if some one rides horse back or not. On the other hand birth controle pills can help you if you have a harmone imbalance. They will regulate your cycle. I would love to see you find a good counselor or doctor you can talk to. There is a lot more in your question than the topic of birth controle.

It is best to be upfront with your Mom, she was your age once and I'm sure she would understand your desire to be placed on the birth control pill. To answer your question, if you have blood drawn, the hormone levels in the birth control pill can be traced. However, your relationship with your doctor should be confidential, meaning by law (in most states) your doctor can't give away any personal information about you to others. Good luck.

No the doctors don't look for birth control when they draw blood... depending on your age your mother dose not even need to be in the room with you as you speak to the doctor... you DO need to let the doctor know that you use them however so they can tell you about any other meds interfering with them... IE antibiotics cancel out birth control pills!!

How old are you? If you are under the age of 18 then your mother can take you to the doctor and they may tell her. Some doctor's will and others will not. Do to the HIPPA act if you are 18 or older no one is allowed to receive info on you, without your consent first. It really sucks that you are having to sneak around to get birth control. Have you tried to talk to your mother and explain. Its better to be safe than sorry. Good Luck!

You dont hvae to tell you mom your on birthcontrol. I would ask her about it though in a you want it to make your periods lighter and less painful and see how she reacts to that first. If she finds them tell her its because of your periods being to heavy for you to cope with, and that its affecting you school work (thats what I did when I was younger) and then she knows and its done.

You should definatly tell you doctor though as some medication affect the effectivness of the pill. If your only using the pill as your only protection and your taking meds it probably wont be as effective which is why you should use other methods as well, if not to protect yourself from std's.

It can't be traced in your blood, I don't think. You don't have to tell your mom, but just be sure you're taking your pill every day or she'll find out for sure! And use condomns, there is some nasty nasty stuff out there. Remember, when you have sex with someone, you are having sex with EVERYONE they have ever had sex with. True, very true. STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) are kept over time and can easily be spread through sex. Make your choice: death or a rubber. Choose the rubber.

It won't be traced in your blood, because they won't be checking that, but your primary care physician MUST know you are on the pill because if she finds a problem and wants to correct it during the physical, he/she needs to know that you take the pill. Trust ne, the doctor has to know these things, if it isn't in your records already.
