I am going to have a baby in September, and I wanted to get my tubes tied right afterwards....Does it hurt, and what is the procedure. do they kncok you out?

i was in a little pain, i got my tubes ties 1 year after having my second child, so they went through my belly button, and yes i was knocked out. they did an awsome job, and no scaring. good luck

You will be very sore afterwards, and also when they have to cut through your stomach muscles to get to your tubes, its usually very very hard to lose your baby fat. Im pretty sure they either knock you out, or drug you up. Congratulations on your pregnancy :o) Im due in August. Good luck!

I had my tubes tied right after a c-section and so I did not feel a thing. I am not sure what they do if you deliver vaginally.

i wish i had an answer but all i can tell u is that it dosent last forever because my aunt got her tubes tied and it lasted 10 years exact and she had a baby girl.

thanks for declaring this question, at 8 years previous, I hit my self in the top with a lightbulb. It stung for some seconds yet wiped out. What lasted became my swollen head which became for 5 days. the better section is i stayed homestead and did not bypass to college.
