I am having a little girl in March, and her heartbeat was and always has been high since they first tracked it. She started out at 160 and is still at 150. They say that a faster heartbeat indicates a girl, but I really wouldn't put too much stock into that. Unless it's fun for you to do so! :)

When I went for my first ultrasound at about 6 weeks it was in the 130's. I had another ultrasound at 10 weeks and it was 150. Yesterday, I had my 19 week ultrasound and it was 143. I don't know what the sex of the baby is because my husband and I want to be surprised.

boys heartbeats tend to be a tad slower than girls. find out the range of normality and see where your baby's heartbeat sits, at one end or the other, you may get a sneak preview of your baby's sex
