In my state, you are allowed medical benefits for pregnancy if you don't have any other medical coverage and your employer does not offer it for you. There is an income cut off, but you have to make like $56,000 per year (appx $4600 per month). You might make an appointment to meet with someone at the medicaid office and find out what exactly are the requirements to qualify.

You have to meet income requirments in all states. You can't be denied medicaid if you meet the requirments for the program.
A lot of people get that confused because most people do meet the income requirments. You must have a really great job, or your parents or husband must have, if you are still living with them.

If you make too much money, you can be turned down for Medicaid. This is to prevent people from taking advantage of the government. Also, if you are married or live w/ your partner, his income is also included in that requirement.

It's based on need and income. Of course they can deny you.
