Your wife could go into labor any day now...especially being 8o% effaced. However, it could also be another couple of weeks. That's the tough thing about labor...there are very few tell tale signs that labor is very near other than the woman's water breaking. ( I was fortunate enough to have this happen). I would definitely be prepared to go to the hospital any day now! Good luck!

Since she is 37 weeks she can probably go at any time. Once the baby is ready it will come. A hormone is released from the baby when the lungs are mature that starts uterine contractions (Labor). Your wifes cervix is thinning a dilating because of the increase in pressure. Congratulations!

Who knows!! A woman can dilate and efface earlier on and not actually go into labor for a few more weeks. The baby will come when they're ready.

Not all ladies have it convenient the moment time round believe me. My first i used to be in labour for six hours begin to conclude and she or he used to be so convenient and i used to be five days over due along with her. My moment used to be thirteen a million/two days over and i used to be in labour for just about 14 hours and she or he used to be tougher then my first, The midwife needed to pull her out. So regardless of if in case you have a million or 20 labours all of them can also be exclusive. You can have two speedy and convenient births and the leisure my pass on for twenty-four hours or extra. So in all honesty you'll have an extended labour or you'll have a shorter labour.

hard to say, I was told at 37 weeks I could go into labour any minute, at 38 weeks I was told I wasn't ready to go into labour, I went to nearly 41 weeks. One thing you can guarentee is baby will run to his or her own time table, not yours. Get used to it. Good luck.

depends if you want the child early or if your concerned about it being late? in any case if you want the baby to come out, believe it or not, having sex induces the pregnancy, trust me i know from personal experience. even the doctor will tell that
