I'm no doctor, however, those tests, from what I've heard are pretty accurate. However, since you very recently had a child, who knows what you're hormone levels are. I think you should do as you've planned, wait a couple of days and test again. If the positive line is still showing, or showing stronger, go to the doctor to be looked at and make sure.

Faint positives happen, but not that often..usually only when u look at the test past the 5 minute mark which they call evaporation lines...If u did the test correctly as in holding it downwards in urine stream for 5 seconds, lying the stick down flat and reading it in 3 minutes then the faint line u saw was most likely a positive result...If this is a very new pregnancy then yes the hormone level would be extremely low right now which would show up as just a faint line but in 3 days there should be a very big positive if u are indeed pregnant..Usually if there is ANY kind of line then take it as a true positive..Right now I would assume it was positive and that u are pregnant just to get yourself ready until the test says negative..Good luck! and let us know what happens in a few days,

It is possible to be pregnant, and most store bought tests may not be effective because you are breastfeeding and the myth that you can't be pregnant when breastfeeding isn't accurate either... I'm sure that a few people will try to tell you that on here today. It is true that your period may be out of whack because of the changes in your hormones. The best way to know for sure is to go to your obgyn and take a test there. If you don't want to do that, I would suggest going to walmart and buying the walmart brand of tests... get a couple of them because they are less expensive and take them 2 days apart and see what results you get. It's what I used and I got a quicker clearer result then the $15.00 tests that I bought. That way you have a better idea without breaking your budget. Good luck!

any line is a positive. try the test tomorrow with the morning pee. false positives are rare, though possible. first response is one of the best! get a doc appointment for a blood test.

I took first responce the whole time. I did have a faint line and my husband said your not pregnant, thats too faint. but it was correct. People tell me if you can see any line, (well two lines total) your pregnant!
