Pregnancy - October 2006

I hate the term fat or obese but I was out drinking with friends and the subject came up. I was very surprised by some responses. How do you personally feel about women who are overweight and otherwise healthy having babies? Do you think they should loose weight first or go for it?

i don't know .......... i don't fell no movements or anything and my stomach is still same as it was b4 pregnancy i mean i'vent gain no weight either.... but don't know why i still feel that im pregnant. can it just be an illusion or something else???

Im 18 and five weeks pregnant with my first child i have been having some pain in my inside hips kinda like a cramp or charlie horse but only when i walk, also im a little underweight but im not hungry at all i know i should be eating a little more than i am but if i do i become uncomfortable, any suggestions?

My wife is pregnant with our 1st child, we are hoping she comes soon. She read somewhere that if you have sex during your 3rd Trimester, you can possibly induce labor. But I was wondering. If you have sex while your pregnant, is it possible that I could get her pregnant again before she even has the 1st baby?

My sister told me that it can induce labor and i shouldnt do it but my feet swell up so bad. and i also had a guy that was giving me a pedicure tell me that i should massage them to get the blood flowing.

Is it true that you could lose a tooth or end up with cavities? And if yes how do I help prevent it.And- Is it true that if you nurse that your boobs can sag? How do you prevent that if it is true?

I am TTC my second and I'm pretty certain I won't have much trouble doing so...My daughter was concieved within 3 weeks...
I want to think of a creative way of telling my parents and in-laws. If/When I get pregnant.
Any ideas?

P.S. My in-laws know I'm TTC and my sister does too. But I haven't told my parents...They're kind of not into that type of public announcement.

Because my periods are messed up, sometimes they come every 30 days 28 days or 64 days. My past 3 periods have been way off, I dont even know when Im ovulating. And in the past 4 months no signs of pregnancy and we always have unprotected sex and we are both healthy and young. My husband and I usually have sex every night but the past 2 weeks we have been having sex every 2 or 3 days so more sperm can build up, to increase our chances. I really need some advise on how to get pregnant, when Im ovulating? Or has this ever happened to any women out there. Honestly Im not in rush to get pregnant, but I just want to know what is up with my body and why are my periods so irregular. What should I do! Or is there nothing to do? Any simillar stories or advise. (serious people only)

I stopped taking birth control about a month ago (can't exactly remember when - been very busy). Now I think it is time for my period. The issue is I have had PMS symptoms for over a week and some have been extreme (like tender breast, cramping, mood swings). I have had sex with my husband (some protected, some not) since going off the pill. Is this just my body getting used to being off the pill or could I be prego?

My husband and I have decided to not tell our friends we are pregnat until after our first doc visit. (Which isn't until the end of Nov) and one of my best girl friends is coming to stay with us this weekend. We always go out when we are together, and living in a small town there isn't much else to do. My husband doesn't understand that girls sometimes "just know" Especially one as close as her! I went to my doc yesterday at 1:30 and she said I was dilated to a good 4 and 80%. She was convinced I would go into labor within the next two days. Yet I'm worried because I have been bleeding for 3 days now and still no labor. Has anyone else experienced this. Also if my water doesn't break will they break it for me.

My docter said Oct. 24
Everything on the internet when i type in the first day of my last period says Oct. 27

Im 38 weeks preg and 1 day. My last period started on Jan. 20

So which is it? Im so confused and not happy about it.

And i have a second question i see people asking questions about TTC. What does TTC stand for. Highly confused.

I just found out today I am pregnant! Problem is he has been under a lot of stress lately not to mention he's only been home from Afghanistan 4 1/2 months. I am worried that once faced with the fact that there is now one more thing to add to the pile of stuff in his (our) life he might not be as happy about it as he once thought. I just don't want to add to the stress. Should I wait a few weeks to tell him after things calm down, or just surprise him today? I just don't know what to do. If this were 3 weeks ago I know he would have jumped for joy.......now I'm not so sure if he would see the timing a burden. Any advice would be great!

I did my glucose tolerance test last Sat, and got the result yesterday that I failed the test. I got the result detail from the hospital but there are some descriptions I don't understand. I am high in Glucose, 1hr/50gm and MCH, but low in RBC Count, Hemoglobin, and Hematocrit. What are they and what do they function during the preganacy?
