I stopped taking birth control about a month ago (can't exactly remember when - been very busy). Now I think it is time for my period. The issue is I have had PMS symptoms for over a week and some have been extreme (like tender breast, cramping, mood swings). I have had sex with my husband (some protected, some not) since going off the pill. Is this just my body getting used to being off the pill or could I be prego?

It could be either. This is why most doctors suggest waiting until you've had at least one period off the pill before trying, so they can more accurately date your pregnancy.

It could be either. You should take a pregnancy test to be sure. I am on month 10 after the pill and my body still is not regulated. I had months of PMS symptoms in the beginning as my hormones went into full force. Take a test, if negative get a blood test to be sure or take another "pee test" in a week. If negative, then it is probably just your body regulating itself.

Good luck!

Also, you could start doing your BBT and see where your temps are. Since you don't have a starting point it won't necessarily show if you are pregnant (you should have sustained high temps with pregnancy) but if your temps are all over it means your body is still out of whack!

Well sounds like your body is just freaking out from you not taking the pills, since you are having pms like symptoms give it a few more days and see what happens, you think it has been a month so maybe it hasn't been quite that long. Then if nothing I would take a test just to be sure.

Could be either. As in pregnant or wishful thinking or body fooling itself. I would go to Dr and have some tests run to find out. If you want to get pregnant then why using protection? Sorry confused here, but good luck anyway.

Sometimes it takes months for your body to adjust your hormones to a natural rythym after discontinuing the pill. Give it time.'

it could be either one but my guess would be you're pregnant. Take a test. Good luck!
