Dont worry about it...im 18 also and i was underweight when i got pregnant too. I found out at 8 weeks and only becuase i was having pains just like you...(had my period stright threw month 3!!) but my doctor sed that everything was fine and it was just my bodies way of getting used to the baby growing. they didnt last very long dont worry. and as far as gaining weight goes, i actaully lost weight when i found out, and i had and still have absolutly no appitite. My craving were for ice and fruit not anything to put weight on with. Now im 27 weeks and ive only gained 6 pounds....thats not good for now but at ur stage dont be worried just yet. Just try to eat as much as u can get down so u get used to it before it becomes a problem...take care hun trust me it gets wayyy easier and wayy more painful lol enjoy!!

As far as the cramps go, I would say they were round ligament pains, but at 5 weeks, it is too early. That is where the ligaments in your uterus stretch to accomodate the baby. But 5 wks. is really early for having those kinds of pains. As far as you being under weight, I didn't even start gaining weight until I was in my 5th month. I still, only gained 20 lbs. Don't fret. The baby is going to take what it needs whether you eat or not. You just need to worry about taking care of yourself and make sure that you at least try to eat so you have energy. Your body is going to need it!

eat smaller amounts more frequently. You dont have an appitite because your stomach is empty and full of bile.

The pains are normal. You have relaxin in your system that softens joints, ligaments and muscles. It makes your joints sore, and they move differently stressing the muscles that support and operate them.

Pain like period cramps are also normal during this part of pregnancy.

your body is responding to the growth of your child. you may want to try yogo. always consult with your physician before starting any exercise program and rule out any health problems for you and baby.

the cramp is your uterus streching. Don't eat if your not hungry.
