NO>>>>>> most of these answers are WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Everyone's cycle is different. There is a myth that woman ovulate 14 days after their period begins...but that is only an AVERAGE and each month can be different. The other thing is that sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days.... so if you are having a shortened cycle one month and you have sex right after your period and you ovulate earlier than day 14 than yes, there is a chance of getting pregnant. However, it will not be during your period. Many people think it’s possible because they do not completely understand how conception works. It might not happen right at the moment of intercourse since the sperm can live for days! If your cycle is short and you ovulate earlier than day 14 it can SEEM like conception takes place during your period...They only way to know is to know exactly when you ovulate. There are several ways to know and some are more effective than others. Some can only predict before ovulation happens and some can only predict that is has already happened. The absolute best info I can give you is to go read a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! . It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths! Even if you don't get into charting and everything....it will help you in so many ways!

A lot of people think that if a woman has sex during her period, she can't get pregnant. But it is possible for a woman to get pregnant while she is bleeding. There are a couple reasons why this can happen:

Not all vaginal bleeding is the result of a menstrual period. Sometimes a woman will have a small amount of vaginal bleeding at the time of ovulation - the time when she is most fertile. During ovulation, an egg is released from one of the ovaries and travels down a fallopian tube to the uterus. It's common for women who are ovulating to have some vaginal bleeding that can be mistaken for a period.
Sometimes ovulation can occur before the bleeding from a woman's period has stopped, or it may occur within a few days after her period is over. Sperm can fertilize an egg for up to 3 days after ejaculation. So in both cases, having sex before the period is finished can result in pregnancy.
Having unprotected sex at any time, including when you're bleeding, is very risky. Along with the risk of becoming pregnant, there is also a risk of getting a sexually transmitted disease (STD), such as chlamydia, genital warts, or HIV. The only surefire way to prevent pregnancy and STDs is abstinence. If you do have sex, use a condom every time to protect against STDs. And talk to your doctor about additional forms of contraceptives.

I don't think people are reading your whole question. You had sex during your period. You had your period the following month? You are not pregnant. Menstruation is the shedding of the uterine lining, and if an ovum was implanted in the lining, it was shed as well. If you're trying to get pregnant, you want to have sex during ovulation, not menstruation.

Yes, it is possible for a woman to get pregnant during her menstrual period. Though the chances of pregnancy are usually lower at the onset of a woman's period, there is no predictable time during the month when the risk of pregnancy is absent.

Remember October is breast cancer awareness...so check them out.

There's going to be a lot of different answers to this question.

From what I have heard the most is that, yes you can get pregnant. BUT, youre at a higher risk of getting pregnant the last three days of your period because sperm can stick around for three days and then attach to an egg.

Not very likely for the first couple of days of your period. You should be okay....

You can get pregnant anytime. Any time you have unprotected sex...no matter what time of the month, year, decade whatever...there is a chance of pregnancy.

A woman can get pregnant if she has unprotected sex any time at all.

Sperm can live inside her for a few days, so she could ovulate, even if she had her period when she had sex.

She can also get STDs if she has unprotected sex. Remember that too, please.

It is possible but not likely because a womens most fertime time is two weeks after her period. That is when a egg is ready. A period is just the bodies way of cleaning it out and all.
