for one, my sister is 700 miles away from me, so no i cannot just get in my car and drive over there, and that is also why i didnt go with her. and two, thanks about the cervix not closing completely, since, yes, this is her second pregnancy. and three, is there really any reason for people to be so rude? especially when im simply curious and asking a question? sheeeesh. forgive me for asking a damn question.

for the person who said ask the doctor, do me a favor, dont comment anymore, and for those of you who said the doctor should be more specific, i agree, the thing is, she is still at the doctor's office. but she has turned her cell phone off, so we dont know whats going on, this is why im asking these questions. she hasnt experienced any bleeding or and other danger signs, this is the first shes heard of any complications. hence the reason for my concern and questions

the doctor told my sister, her cervix isnt growing properly. which can either mean, it has opened, when it shouldnt, or that it hasnt thickened. so my question is, is this an early sign of miscarriage?

I had picked out the name Makayla for a girl but my cousin just had her baby Friday & named hers Makayla. My husband & I were very partial to this name being that my husband's name is Michael. We've had that name picked out for a good while. I hadn't told my cousin I liked that name because I hardly see her & we aren't close anymore. Should I still use it?
What are some good names that go with Alliyah or Alyssa?
For boy names we like Jayden Scott or Ryan Scott, what do you think?

I'm 6 months pregnant and recently went to the doctor. The midwife said I had gained too much weight. I supposively have gained 20lbs already but don't feel like it. If you don't know me then you would never even know I was pregnant. I'm really not showing that much. I don't know how much I weighed pre pregnancy but I wore a size 6 or 8. I'm having a hard time adjusting to any weight gain and by her saying that has made me paranoid and upset. I thought I was doing good. Does anyone have a similar experience or any advice?

If a woman has nice abs and she becomes pregnant, what happens to those abs? I've always wondered that. Do they soften? Does the growth of pregnancy hurt women with strong abs by stretching them out?

I have two daughters who were both born by necessary ceseareans. I have since divorced and am seriously dating again. I would like to have more children one day and I was wondering if there was a limit on how many c-sections a woman could have in her lifetime? I had heard somewhere that three (3) was the most a woman's body can handle? Is this true or does anyone have a story to contradict this theory?

(I posted this eariler this morning received few answers)

I had an "elective ultrasound" a few days ago. Much to the tech's suprise... and my own... As big as my son is he is still very much in the breech postion. His head his up in my ribs and his legs are folded upwards with his feet right in his face. I am 32 weeks and I know I still have time for him to move in the proper position, but I can't help but think as big as he is now that it will only become harder for him to move his entire body 180 degrees.

Are there any ways to encourge him to start moving his head down towards my pelvic area? Any excercises I can do?

At what time do babies normally move in to that postion?

I was very fortunate with my first child, as he was in postion by the time I was 30 weeks, and he was a very big baby.

In the pregnancy section, I see a LOT of questions from teens about "Am I pregnant". I'm just curious, it seems like a lot of these girls are not wanting a baby right now. If so, why are you not using birth control?
