I have 3 kids and I am pregnant again. I have asked my ob/gyn about this and she said that she wouldn't say not to do it, but she would advise against it for the following reasons:
~ Most miscarriages occur during the first 10-12 weeks. So any "risky" activity is discouraged.
~ Haunted Houses are dark and you can easily trip. Even with the protection of the amniotic sac, you could still miscarry from any fall, being so early in the pregnancy.
~ Rides that have any jerking motion are NEVER safe for a pregnant woman at any stage of the pregnancy, because you could cause a tear in the amniotic sac, you could cause the placenta to seperate from the womb and a number of other problems.
~ Why would you want to place your pregnancy in any possible danger? Isn't it better to error on the side of caution?
After hearing her advice, I had to agree, and I hope you do too. Good luck and have a safe Halloween.

I don't know that a couple of scary shows/events could do you harm...However, ridding roller coaster type rides is very much like being in a vehicle accident minus broken glass and torn metal.
My husband and I were in a rollover accident when I was 5 mos pregnant. Luckily not too serious as far as injury goes, but it was just like being on a roller coaster. They took me away in an ambulance to the hospital to monitor the baby.
I wouldn't suggest the rides. In fact, read this article for more info:

I would not go. You can always go next year.
I used to go to Knott's Scary Farm every year when I was in high school and in my early twenties. It was a blast.
But since you are pregnant, please hold off until next year. You know how those zombies come up to you and scare the living daylights out of you...that could send a jolt to your baby.
Hope this helps..

it will not harm the baby!! the baby is protected by amniotic fluid and wont feel a thing!! I fell down hard when I was 3 months pregnant with my twins, bruised my knee and twinsted my ankle and the Dr. said it probably felt like a little bouncing around to the babies...nothing more!!! the fluid is such a protector I say HAVE FUN!!! plus @ 7 weeks that baby is SO tiny you should have no worries!

No rollercoster rides but if its like a ride on a wagon or something along that line then your okay. better have your fun now before you get bigger and things become more dangerous. be careful though not to fall, or get knocked down, or hit in the stomach (really hard).

go for it! the only way it will hurt the unborn is if you take the activities to far and start to hurt yourself or wear yourself down to far! with both of my kids i was riding amusments park rides untill i was 7.5 months along. you know your limates and it is still good for your body. just take watch of the belly area and you will be fine! you never know the baby might come out and love the scary things or the rides llike my kids do. enjoy life and the baby will too!! Have Fun!!

Isn't pregnancy enough of a roller coaster ride for you yet?
I wouldn't do it.

Why would you want to chance anything? I would ask my Dr.'s opinion on this one.
