You only get stitches to cervix if you have an imcompetent cervix. It is not used to prevent labor. Depends on what symtoms you have, your doctor will have treatment that is appropriate. Losing your mucus plug (or bloody show) doesn't mean your labor is imminent, if it is very early, it will grow back. If you leak amnio fluid though, there is nothing they can do to prevent you, you have to deliver.

I think you can have a show any time, and you won't necessarily go into labour. If your waters break though, you are at risk of infection. If they haven't and you don't have contractions, it may just be an unpleasant discharge. Best to call your midwife or GP, as anything like this needs checked. if you do develop an infection, then you are more likely to go into labour. Also, you can bleed during early pregnancy without it meaning anything bad is going to happen, it's very common, so don't worry. Don't sit and worry about this all night though-if you're stuck, you can call the labour ward at the hospital and speak to someone. take care :)

I wouldn't panic too much but it is best advised to seek the advice of your midwife or GP.
I had 3 show's during my first prgnancy, one at 3 months, one at 6 months and then the final about a week before I gave birth.
My midwife said mine were all parts of the same"plug"/show.
I will add that when my first appeared, I telephoned my midwife, she came out and looked at it and sent me to the local hospital for a scan as a precaution, but when I got there, and they saw why I was there, I was told that 1 in 5 pregnant women experience a number of "so called shows or plugs" throughout their pregnancy and being sent for a scan is to ensure that it is not part of the placenta or something else that would upset the baby
Good luck, I hope all is ok. xx

During my last pregancy, which was twins, if had a show many times - as long as you are not in pain, you are probably not going in to labour. Don't worry - not that unusual.

Yes. See your OB/GYN doctor immediately. He/she will know what to do. This is not the place to go for this advice. Don't waste precious time! Good luck.
P.S.-If you don't have and can't afford a doctor, there are free clinics for this sort of thing.

Yes, something can be done. For a start the Mum-to-be needs to see her Dr. There are drugs and other procedures available then.
