It's actually a good idea. It can relieve back pain. It makes it easier for you to pick stuff up off the floor with that big and heavy belly. It makes you lift with your legs instead of your back. It can help the baby engage in your pelvis. It is also good practice for labor because squatting is a GREAT position to push in.....it opens up your pelvis something like 10-30% wider (depending on which resource you read).

I don't know for sure, but doctors have women do squats in the third trimester to bring on labor so I don't think it would be very safe.

Any exercise that you have done consistantly during your pregnancy you can continued to do. It isn't wise to start something new and strenuous but if you have been working out this long, don't stop now. Your labor and delivery whould be much easier since you're in such great shape.

i think it's safe. i do squats but pay attention to how my abdomen is doing and to not use those muscles. some women squat in labor but i dont' think it will throw u into early labor.

good job keeping up the exercise!
