Pregnancy - September 2006

I knew something was wrong. I just didn't know what. I have the worst time getting up, going to the bathroom and still have trouble holding my food. Being five months along the dr when hearing my symtoms became concerned. When checking for the baby we found what looked to be like a blood clot. Dr placed me on meds and we waited two weeks. Went back on thursday to take another look. I told the Dr that I am still sick and I felt bad. Another sonogram to chk the baby and there was this mass that got larger. Then the Dr confirmed it is a Fibroid tumor. As he rolls over the area where the fibroid is located the sensitivity to my stomach is rather tender and somewhat painful. No more work for me and nothing but bedrest. I am 5 months as of Sunday. What was some of your experiences? Any full term deleveries? What happened to you after delivery with the tumor. I was reallly worried, but a call came from the dr Fri. Test were in from the amnio. Baby is heathy and it's a boy! Tumor still scary!

Ok to start with, I KNOW while your pregnant it is not the time to try to lose weight. and also, let me tell you that I am 26 years old, and I have always been in good shape, and worked out. kept my weight down, and was very thin. Now that I am 5 months pregnant, I have not worked out at all....so I notice that I am getting a little more flabby and such. I have energy, I just dont work out. Not sure why. Anyways....I have gained a total of 6 lbs in the 5 months. I think that is good. I know the weight is coming. but apparently others see that I have put those 5 lbs on in my face or something. I have been told "your getting really hefty..you better stop that eatin" my appetite has not changed....and if its only 5 lbs why would they say that to me? it's not jealousy she is a 65 year old woman!!! my question to you all is? what can I do, to keep the rest of my body in shape during this time? I dont want to work out like I used too...I used to lift and all that.....and I walk each night..

What did you feel during these 3 time frames? Any symptoms you remember? Any you didn't have that you'd thought you would? Any spotting? I know every woman is different.

This is like my 5th question ive asked, but its helpful... i was wondering and which ive heard that having a c-section can cause you to have a permanent "pudge" in your stomach because the muscles get sewed together, but with vagainal delivery you do not? anyone know if this is true or not?

Do you count the weeks from your last period down or do you count the 2 weeks the conception occured with the time you missed your period?

I have heard you can eat certain foods to help the baby that you are carrying to be born with alot of hair which i am hoping for, does anyone know of any? Also i am a vegetarian, is this safe for my baby? thanks

I go Oct 2 for my first prenatal visit and I should be about 8 weeks pregnant then and I was not sure if he would do an ultrasound just to make sure everything looks ok in there??

I'm 26wks now. At all of my prenatal appts. my doc says "you're doing awesome" and all my measurements are fine so far! And at my 20wk scan he measured 1wk 6days bigger! But, my tummy isn't looking very pregnant, just a little, but the baby is moving A LOT. I'm just worried that there's not enough room, why don't I feel the weight of the baby is he's a foot long or so and should weigh about 1 1/2 to 2pnds?? Shouldn't I be sticking out more? This is my 1st pregnancy!!!

My first day of my last period was on 9/1/06. My cycle is 28 days. I'm trying to get pregnant, I had sex almost every day since my last period ended. On 9/24/06 I went to the bathroom and noticed some spotting, and then hours later I went to the bathroom again, and no more spotting. I want to mention that I was having some light cramping too, since yesterday. Could I be pregnant or is too early to know?

This just hasn't been a normal mentrual cycle, and I'm currently 4 days late (VERY unusual). I took a test two days ago and it was negative. I know it's totally possible for a grocery store preg test to be wrong, and I know I took it really early, so you don't need to tell me that, and yes, I will be taking it at a week late (unless I start before then), but I was just wondering how many others that's been the case for.
BTW, I'm 29, married with a 2.5 year old. Not trying to get pregnant, but would be THRILLED if I was:).

I'm 23 weeks pregnant and currently off sick from the pain and due to go back tomorrow. I work as a nursery assistant which involves a lot of physical work which aggravates it (Hence me being off sick after going to the doctor with unknown hip/pelvis pain). I saw my physiotherapist for the first time today who says it's SPD but hasn't been able to give me a belt as she has had to refer me to another physio who specialises in womens health.

I've already called my boss who said that I'd be moved into the 3-5's room for the rest of my pregnancy which I'm not looking forward to as spending the day with a group of chaotic preschoolers when I'm in pain and can't do much isn't my idea of fun, but it avoids the lifting..

I'm just worried about what I am/am not going to be physically able to do and what I should avoid??

My first weighed 6 13 at 41 1/2 wks. im now 36 wks prego in just had 2 ultrasounds that were both saying the baby weighs 7 2 already. The Dr. said the baby gains most of its weight the last two months. Could my due date be wrong or could my second really weigh that much more that my first. Also im small built and labor with my first was terrible. Im afraid that this one might be to big for me to deliver if I go full term. Any answers?

I think why spend all these extra hours at the hosptial bored or have unnessecary pitocin or procedures because labor started 30 mins. ago. I am fine with medicated births but give yourself a chance to get started. Do others feel this way?

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I'm having very bad lower abdominal cramping. There is no bleeding, it hurts more when I'm sitting but if I get up some of the pain goes away.

Has this happened to anyone before?? Not sure of what to do.

I had my daughter in January, following that I had fairly regular periods for the first couple of months, then I was put on a very low dose of birth control and had irregular or no periods for a couple more months. So I started taking yaz to help regulate my period. I began having serious mood swings, dizziness, abdominal pinching, all the signs of pregnancy that I had with my daughter only to a smaller degree. I took a home pregnancy test that was negative, but when I started having the butterflies I had a blood test done. It was negative and that was two weeks ago. I am still having the muscle twitches but they are increasing and night before last my husband was leaning on me and he felt what he called a kick. I am very overweight and have a hard time telling the increase in my waist, but I am noticing a hardening that others can feel as well. My period is 4 days late so far this month. Is it possible to be pregnant and if not what would cause the strong muscle twitches?
